This is the worst run place on the island. So unorganized, It takes FOREVER for your food to come out. It’s a huge waste of time. Every. Single. Time. In the last 2 years I’ve ordered from here 10 times and all 10 times I waited an ABSURD amount of time.

My wife and I ordered the cheese steak sub, and I have to say it's the best cheese steak we have ever had! The bell peppers, onion, mushrooms were fresh and the meat/steak was awesome! They used nice thick cuts! The sub was fantastic! Great Job guys! Definitely coming back!

I ordered take out and went to the window for “pick up orders” I waited over 10 minutes, staring at my to-go bag on the counter. No one came to the window or acknowledged me. I finally went inside going on 15 min and they just handed me my bag on the counter. Complete disregard for customers. Every person back there made eye contact with me multiple times… and nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. My food was cold and soggy.

The food was great! Probably the best homemade potato chips I’ve had. Everyone I went with enjoyed their meals. There are only a few tables inside and there was only one waitress to manage all the takeout orders and dine in guests. She was great for all she had goin on! Did lead to a bit slower service though. I’d recommend giving takeout a try

Been too long since I ate here and I’m a local. Ordered take out on a busy Friday night and it was ready shortly after the estimated wait. At the window I was politely given fresh, hot falafel, with a slightly crunchy exterior and tender middle; mahi bowl was expertly seasoned and grilled, served over saffron rice with crisp fresh veggies and warm pita. Ordered a few extra sauces and, although I had been given plenty, was glad I tried their potent garlic sauce. Will return again -soon- and grateful to have choices like Sunset Grill on Oak Island, serving up great meals!

We were on vacation to Oak Island. Our last night there and wanted something lighter. Well we waited 2 hours, the hostesses were not the problem. They kept checking on is and apologizing. We waited from 6:40pm to about 8:35pm. I finally had to go ask for answer on my order status. What I could gather is chef was too busy to make chicken wings. I was furious. We would’ve been okay swapping out that item to something easier, could’ve even lied and said they were outta wings. No biggie. The hostess told us we could just leave since we didn’t pay yet. Wasted 2 hours of our vacation. Don’t even waste your time and screw the chef. Tell your customer if you aren’t capable of doing something or hire more staff. There were people waiting 45 minute plus for take out orders. They kept accepting more orders. How about not accepting orders until you can fulfill the ones you have or give wait time?

It’s dinner time. It’s June at Oak Island. Every restaurant is packed. We placed a to-go order at Sunset Grill and waited. Boy, was it worth the wait! Delicious food and hearty serving sizes. The chicken gyro was amazing! As busy and stressful as it was, the young lady at the register was extra friendly, kind and helpful.
