My wife and I stopped in for lunch at Wayside Restaurant in Oakboro . We ordered veggies and the pinto beans were not warm . The food was so so . They weren’t that busy when we got there a little after twelve say twelve fifteen. We try to support local businesses when we are traveling across Nc and Sc . I believe we would need to maybe order like a hamburger and fries next time and give them a fair shake . Maybe they were having an off day ? It was Valentines Day ! Wayne Mumford

We called in an order at Wayside yesterday around 5:45pm and got 2 cheeseburger ? deluxes all the way with chopped onion and light mustard with thin potatoe wedges and ranch dressing. It was DELICIOUS!!!! Everything was hot and fixed perfectly.

Love the food here, prices are very reasonable and take out service is usually good. It's a small diner, so sometimes they run out of stuff, and occasionally they don't realize it when you're ordering, but it's not very often and the other times being great make up for it. Highly recommended.
