Maria’s Pizzaria is obviously a very popular restaurant in the Sunset Beach/Ocean Isle area, as we discovered when we tried going without a reservation. Definitely a good idea to make one during vacation times.The service is fine, atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but the portions are generous and filling.My wife & I wish we had shared the Tuscan Salmon over Pasta with Spinach & Alfredo Sauce, as we would have probably still had leftovers. Salmon needed a little more seasoning, but the pasta was delicious.Our daughters enjoyed the pizza.Salad dressings were pretty bland, which was too bad, as the House salad itself was quite good - fresh mixed greens and vegetables.Overall decent, but not our favorite this trip.

I ordered a pizza with extra cheese and 1/2 mushrooms and made a point of telling them to not make it well done!I was told to pick up in 20 minutes. When I got there I was told it would be at least half hour longer.The pizza finally came out burnt without extra cheese. I took the pizza anyway because I couldn't wait any longer.Needless to say, the pizza tasted like burned cardboard. Awful. This is not the first time I've had a bad pizza there! When I checked the receipt neither of my requests were ordered! 3 strikes and you're out !

Having enjoyed the tastiness of the 'Maria's Pizza, without additional toppings, we were pleasantly surprised to see this iconic photo of the 'Men on the Beam'. Unbeknownst to many, the photo was captured, so many years ago, by Charlie Ebetts, a renowned photographer from Florida, who also happens to be the father of my sister-in-law.

Went on a day they took a party of 30.Serving only pizza to the rest of us.It was good.We will try another day.
We've been living in the area for 5 years now & never got around to visit this restaurant. So last Saturday we went there for a late lunch & we were pleasantly impressed with both the food & atmosphere ! We ordered the calamari appetizer.... It was the best we've had in this area! It included breaded zucchini & red pepper strips! The NY Style Classico pizza was delicious...we're originally from the NY/NJ area. We definitely will make this our pizzeria to go to!

WOW! I finally a place that knows how to make pizza! The crust was crunchy and delicious, the sauce was perfect and the toppings,.. THE TOPPINGS were fresh vegetables with plenty of flavor and tasty meats.I have missed pizza this good for a couple of decades.Don't miss out on this food, it's awesome!
