We recently were in Ocracoke for 3 weeks and had the best time ever.Beach , shelling then at 3 o’clock it was off to Dajio’s for shrimp and cocktails….( dinner some nights) . The staff are THE BEST …….serving the best food and of course cocktails,Chris was our server most nights , he’s a great guy and we regarded him as a friend by the end of our vacation. So much so he and other members of the staff sighted a t shirt I bought because I wanted to have their names with me every time I wear it . The bar staff are fun friendly and can pour a dam good drink . I would recommend Dajio over anything on the island ( apart from Pony for breakfast) ….we miss you guys 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘🍸🥰
Lovely place to hang out.

Went for dinner and had the special, which was blackened mahi. It was delicious, but the stars of the show, in my opinion, were the sides. I begged for the green bean recipe, but they wouldn’t share. However, the chef came out and gave me a small bit of information, (the green beans are made with ghee). I’ll try it at home and hope I can replicate it. Cheese grits were made with roasted poblano peppers and manchego cheese, which was a flavor explosion in the best way!
Actually, dinner was so good we went back the next night and ordered the same thing!

I think the quality and taste of the food is just okay, especially for the price point. The cordon bleu was heavily fried and green beans were just coated in butter/oil. I don’t think we would eat here again.
Our server, however was very kind and a hard worker. He did not share his name but he was great!

Things have changed, maybe new owners? The place isn't as clean as it once was. And the food seems rushed now. I ordered a caesar salad with blackened chicken. Now whenever anybody orders a caesar salad, you do not get a chicken thigh with it. It was dark meat and grisselly. Yuk. I sent it back.I mean, who doesn't get a chicken breast? Also, the croutons are just generic out of the bag croutons. This salad used to be fabulous and amazing. With parmesan, crisps and homemade croutons. Our waitress was great, though. And understanding when I sent it back. I have never eaten a chicken thigh in my life. I never intended it to be on my caesar salad! The grilled cheese used to be fabulous over the years, but it's just not as good as it used to be. It's missing that jalapeno jelly, or it's a different brand they use now. Not sure, we will be coming back next year. They don't even have any good vodka drinks as a specialty cocktail. I look forward to going there every year for the last ten years and this year, and last year, it wasn't that great, so I think we're going to cross it off our list of favorites.

Be advised that if you are staying near this restaurant they play live music until random times at night. Their bar is advertised as closing at “11ish” but sometimes the music goes until 12:30 or later. So do not stay in the places near here if you do not want to be up late.
We had a great time on Monday night at Dajio. I had the steak salad and the Portuguese chowder and it was delicious! The local band was amazing and our waiter was very professional and polite. The table bussers are picking up, refilling waters and doing a great job. Had a great time with my family.

Great place if you've got the awesome server. Hard to do in ocracoke. Give everywhere here 2 chances and you'll see something awesome. Our bartender this time made everything absolutely fantastic. Kept us rolling late night with so much fun.

Weird experience from the start. The hostess interrupted our seating to take a call. We stood there waiting for her to finish before being seated on the patio. We had a vegan in our party. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower bites and asked for the blue cheese on the side, they came covered in blue cheese. We figured they could eat around the cheese. We ordered the impossible burger, and they sent it out with cheese on it. They took it back and you could tell they just scraped the cheese, as you could see bits on the bun. Thankfully they weren’t lactose intolerant, so they ate around it. Finally; they still charged for the cheese.
We aren’t returning.

Best burger on the island. Best vibe on the island as well. If you come to Ocracoke, do not skip out on this place.

First time coming here and I will most definitely be back! You must try the pimento cheese and crostini appetizer and the fried green tomatoes! They are sinful and delicious! We also got the fried buffalo cauliflower it was delicious but I felt like it needed to be fried alittle bit more . We also got the Gorgonzola gnocchi and blacked chicken . It was good the blacken chicken was a thigh very juicy and flavorful however I wasn’t a fan or the gnocchi it lacked texture. Atmosphere was super nice and fun.

Wife ate here the day before we went and got take out. She said it was really good so I tried it with takeout. Unfortunately the forgot her mash potatoes and that is what she was looking forward too. Then they also forgot my coleslaw with my shrimp. ORDER WHAT YOU WANT EAT WHAT YOU GET!!
