This is our second-to-last night here, and I don't think we'll be able to top Gaffer's tomorrow night! We sat outside and the atmosphere was fantastic! It happened to be karaoke, which I love, so bonus points there!
Our server Cassie was friendly, warm and welcoming, but also professional. Even as busy as it was, she made sure to engage with us every time she walked by and made sure we had everything we needed the whole night. We felt right at home sitting at her table.
Our food was out of this world! My husband and I both got the scallop plate. They were perfectly cooked, as we're our fresh green beans and yellow rice. We've eaten a lot of seafood this week, but a scallop done just right that is perfectly seasoned and doesn't need sauce deserves a special shout-out and this place more than delivered!
I'm a lifelong restaurant person, I've worked every FOH position from hostess to bartender and I don't often leave reviews, but Gaffer's will go down as a very special highlight of our trip to Emerald Isle. Do yourself a favor and visit this gem.

OMG! Prime rib Thursday was awesome. The best meal on the island, imo! And, the bucket drink was also fantastic! We sat in the bar area. The service was top notch.

We have been to Gaffer’s many times over the last few years. Always enjoyed a nice evening and the food has been very good. Not the case tonight. Potatoes in clam chowder were uncooked, The Gaffer sandwich had no taste and the prices are going up. I understand that the owners are expanding but it may be time to step back and make sure things are being taken care of at their main restaurant on Coast Guard Station Road. It will be a long time before we go back.

Live music on the weekend and a happening place. Variety of yummy food and drinks. Really enjoyed the Shark Attack drink and my Shrimp BLT.

Got there about 10 minutes early to get a table before my party arrived and they wouldn’t seat me until everyone arrrived - plenty of open tables. Stupid policy!!! Should’ve went to caribe sea!

We went on a recommendation of a friend. The indoor seating was nice and air conditioned. The outdoor seating was well spaced with a nice breeze. We made a mistake and ordered the Blackened shrimp nachos, not realizing that the portion was huge. It was enough for a two person meal easily. It was excellent though, the chips are fried in-house. On the whole, it was an excellent experience.
