My family visited this restaurant during the Thanksgiving holidays. The atmosphere in the pub was great and the food was delicious. I had a burger and fries and it was definitely one of the best burgers that I have had. It's hard to find a great burger nowadays. Too bad it's on an island that you have to take a ferry to get to. I will definitely visit again and hopefully have another delicious burger. Man, I'm hungry now! I would definitely recommend to anyone.

An off season visit meant there was plenty of parking and seating available. The service was great. Food was tasty and prices fair. This was a great dining experience and I recommend Howard’s Pub and hope to return.

Like this place! Food this time was a little disappointing. Had Oyster Rockefeller and some were gritty. Also had the peel and eat shrimp which they didn't devein them. They would also get more flavor from the boil if they devein them besides making them cleaner and easier to peel.

We went to Howards after the pirate festival which was Nov 1st so it was still all decorated for Halloween which they did a great job with. Our server was attentive and quick to bring us our drinks and menus and food cane out with very little wait. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.
We enjoyed another anniversary dinner (#38) at Howard's yesterday, it's an annual mandatory ritual. We were so impressed with the amazing Halloween decorations (WHERE DID YOU GET THE SKULL PATH EDGING???), the interior was as warm and welcoming as the staff. The witch's hat lights are so cool!!!
My loving bride has the sautéed sea scallops and mac ' and cheese, I had the create your own fried platter with beautiful fish, and probably the best fried clams and crabcake I may have ever had in my 65 years. She had two of the Pirate's ☠️ Punch, then promptly fell asleep in the car, waiting for the ferry back to Hatteras Island.
I'm not saying I don't care that our dinner probably cost three times what we could get up in Lancaster, PA, but I our lives, there's only one Howard's. As long as we are capable of making the drive (and NC-12 isn't overwashed!), we will always spend our anniversary dinner with you guys.
