SmacNally’s Waterfront Bar & Grill

We enjoyed this place very much during our trip to Ocracoke. I had the salad with fried oysters, my husband had the Smax Burger and we split an order of onion rings. Everything was good and we enjoyed sitting by the marina. The service was great. We did have to wait about 15-20 minutes for a seat.

Managed to grab a quick meal before they closed up for the night. Food was great, drinks were good and despite emptying out as we ate and drank the atmosphere was a nice chilled vibe.

Best fried shrimp ever. Servers were so quick. Cleanliness of the place seems nearly impossible since it’s right in the street and on the waterway. One restroom.

Ocracoke is such a cool place to visit. We always go to SmacNally's. The food is great. You sit right on the water & have umbrellas to block the sun. It's a great place to eat. The servers are always very nice. Parking for cars & golf carts is right across the street. We had to evacuate for Hurricane Erin & decided to go to SmacNally's the day before we left. Our granddaughters, my husband & I love this place!

Always great food, great service!

Right on the water when you come off the ferry. Food is good, service is fast and prices are reasonable. We got the shrimp chili wrap and the fish and oyster platter. Oysters were acceptional but everything was great!

We stopped in yesterday with a party of seven, the staff was great as well as the food. You really need to give them a try. It doesn’t get any better than this for casual dockside dining. The food was awesome at a fair price. There is seating at the bar, but if you’re looking for a family atmosphere you can set away from the bar and still have a beautiful view of Silver Lake. We’ll make it an Ocracoke tradition for our family.

We were so impressed with the food and atmosphere of eating outside ..Great waitresses. Food was excellent. Definitely will go back.

I feel as this place has gone down hill since our last visit. The service from the start was not good. When we asked a server if we were at the correct entrance for the hostess stand, they were a bit nasty. Our server, Georgeann, was a bit assertive. The food was average and everything was served on/in plasticware. I was a bit surprised for being on an island. We had a table near the the edge of the dock. It wasn't as enjoyable with people not eating at the restaurant going back and forth, coming up to the restaurant bar using the step near our table. On our next visit to Ocracoke we will eat at the other restaurant we were going to eat at.
