Passing through headed to Asheville and Hillman was a perfect lunch stop! Great service, beer and delicious food. We loved that it's dog friendly inside!!

Excellent service, so clean and so kind! We'd hiked Catawba Falls with our dogs and wanted to grab a bite. One of our dogs is a little high anxiety and it was her first time in a restaurant. The Hillman team was kind as were the patrons. We hope to be in the area again soon for another visit. Beer was delicious as was the food.

Hillman in Old Fort not only offers a scenic, well-built brewery, but they also have an excellent staff. We visited multiple times during our stay in the town, and each time we were greeted with a knowledgeable and friendly bar staff that wanted nothing more than to give us a good experience and pet our dog. Thank you Scott and team, you freaking rock!

This place is a good experience in general. The food is good and they have lots of beer styles. The only negative is the sometimes inattentive staff. Ive gone in to order wings before just for them to be not sauced because they dont have enough if the flavor, they remake them a different flavor and its still not correct.

Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area. I enjoyed grabbing a weekday lunch & beer at Hillman Beer Old Fort. I went around noon on a Thursday and there were a surprising number of people there, which was nice. Plenty of parking, super accessible with multiple ramps, and a variety of seating.
I opted to sit on the covered deck that runs parallel to the creek. Perfect combo of sunshine, fresh air and comfortable seating. I had a Hazy IPA and a patty melt. Both were tasty and the fries were perfect. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. I’d definitely return if I’m ever in the area. To me this is exactly what you want from a larger, local brewery experience.

Such a great spot to grab some good food and great beer. Everyone is very friendly, food came out fast, and the beer went down smoothly. Definitely a place to try out if you haven’t.
Very good selection of all type of beers.. like 25+ on tap. Didn't try the food but maybe next time. Google shows then being very busy but they were not, so don't let that scare you away! Huge facility with outdoor seating. Worth stopping by if you are in the area!

Everything about this establishment was perfect! They have a variety of food selections. We had the Cuban and Ruben Sandwiches and they were awesome. We tried one of their beers and the apple cider, both were very tasty. The homemade blackberry bread pudding was excellent as well. The entire staff were very attentive and personable. The best part for me was that it was dog friendly allowing me to bring my 16 year old fur baby who suffers from separation anxiety. Make this place a must if you’re in the area.
