Just enjoying my takeaway Mother’s Day afternoon tea! Proper home baking if ever there was, a box full of loveliness that’s going to have to be eaten in two sittings!! The butterfly bun and lemon cheesecake being my favourites……so far!!

I reached out to Julie on a Thursday, needing a cake for Saturday (2 days notice) to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary at a restaurant in Oxford, NC that was a good meeting location for us and them (VA and NC). She returned my call very promptly, and she took it upon herself to contact the restaurant about delivery times. Her communication was outstanding, certainly was outside of her normal working hours. Though she wasn't able to deliver the cake during restaurant hours, she came up with a Plan B so we could pick the cake up in a secure location, and provided all the details we needed. She could have easily said "no, I can't do it", due to the obligations she already had, and the short notice, but she didn't. And I was so grateful. The cake was nicely boxed, beautiful and tasted fantastic! My parents enjoyed it and enjoyed the entire celebration. If the opportunity arises for me to need a cake in Oxford again, I would most definitely go to Julie's Cakery. I also highly recommend her for her professionalism, caring and for being an excellent cake maker!

She did an exceptional job on the grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner (which was a delicious cannoli cake) and our wedding cake (vanilla with strawberry filling). They were stunning and everyone loved them! She was also super sweet and we enjoyed working with her. Thank you Julie!
