Stopped in on a Sunday evening for a quick bite. Both my with an I had the Turkey with dressing. Way above our expectations. Good size portions, friendly servers and a chaming atmosphere with vintage signs and sayings. We'll be back.

Almost like stepping into a time capsule/machine as you enter this Ma and Pa style Restaurant. From the "back in the day" style floors, the vintage decor and even the seating as well. Have a choice to sit in a booth or chairs at tables you may have to put a couple of playing cards under a leg to stabilize it. "Like the good Old Days". Even the food gives you the same old feeling. "A meal for two" size meals filled with flavorful home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner! Delicious daily specials and BREAKFAST IS SERVED ALL DAY!!!! Allen's Restaurant is my family's first choice when we go out!!!

Waitress was speedy and knowledgeable of the menu and how things are prepared. Great variety menu, from Southern favorites to some new entrees to try out. First trip I had marinated beef tips that were fork tender, rice and gravy, crispy fried okra and crispy fried squash. Squash is sliced and lightly breaded there in the kitchen. Second trip I had fried shrimp also lightly breaded in the kitchen and a double of the squash. Food was hoping hot and came to the table quickly. Of you stop here you won't be disappointed. Prices are in line with other restaurants but remember a lot of items do not come in frozen and thrown in Grease. A lot is prepared right there in th back.
