We traveled from Virginia to visit a friend in that area and we went out to at Southern Family Restaurant and absolutely loved it. Two of us had Country Fried Steak and both of us agreed it was the best Country Fried Steak we had ever had. A third one of us got the Prime Rib Sandwich and absolutely raved about how good it was. Our waitress was an absolute doll. She couldn't have been any nicer. My grilled chicken salad was delicious and my husband had jumbo fried shrimp. We both enjoyed our meals very much.
Southern Family was a real treat. The food was great, the staff were very nice, and the portions were massive. Very, very highly recommend this restaurant. The five of us ordered a little bit of everything and shared so we could try it all. Everything on their menu is excellent. Their seafood menu is huge, too.
