A diamond in the rough! We were traveling through the area and happened upon Taste of China. The food was delicious, and can confidently say they had the best egg roll I’ve ever had. Prices were very reasonable, portions were a good size, and food was served fast and hot. If I’m driving through the area again, I would go out of my way to come back here.

My review is based on the reaction by the management to a customer seated across from us. The lady had a roach crawl up her arm just as she took a bite of her meal. She complained and the manager allowed her to go without any offer to refund her money. We had also just started eating our $22 worth of food when the roach attacked. That almost resulted in my vomiting up what I had just consumed. Our food also went into the trash...... DISGUSTING

While visiting the area our family was craving Chinese and after reading the reviews we decided to try Taste of China. Taste of China exceeded our expectations in taste, quality and variety of different options. The place can be a little difficult to find the first time with Google maps but once inside we could tell it was definitely a favorite with the locals and did a huge takeout business. We had the sweet sour chicken, vegetable fried rice, hot & sour soup, egg rolls and spring rolls all which were excellent. The food was made fresh when ordered and the fried rice was even moist the next day warmed up for lunch because they give you huge portions you won’t be disappointed.
We recently moved to the Pilot Mountain area and just visited Taste of China for the first time. It was nothing short of excellent! We got the General Tso chicken, vegetable fried rice, two spring rolls and a side of sweet and sour sauce. All was fresh, piping hot and very tasty, and it was enough for dinner for two plus lunch tomorrow. Service was fantastic, too - very friendly! We are tickled to pieces to find such a good Chinese restaurant just five minutes from home, and we will definitely be back. (Side note: the General Tso had a bit more heat to it than we're used to, but it was delicious nonetheless. A spoonful or two of plain rice afterward helped "cool the burn.")
Shrimp with cashews was excellent. Best I've had in many years. Very reasonable price. Excellent egg roll. Crunchy and tasty.

The small local Chinese restaurant. We ate in and they were very nice and friendly. The food was exactly what you would expect from any big city Chinese carry out, really good. The egg rolls were great and the general tso was good too. Didn’t try the soup but will next time.

Very small place ran by a very nice family. Never have any issues here. Food is always hot and prepared exactly as you request. Though keep in mind this is really a Chinese to go restaurant. Though you can eat on site at some of the tables they have that isn’t really what the owners tailor to. I have no problems with that though. It’s a small town and this is a great, quick Taste of China (pun intended) for the family at home.

Every time I get Chinese from this restaurant it's always right which is hard to come by with Chinese places, and the service is always amazing but I'm telling you when I ate one of their egg rolls my taste buds exploded and I started balling my eyes out because of how good they were. I immediately called the restaurant back and ordered 17 more and praised the woman who answered the phone about how amazing the egg rolls were and how I worship her now and how I had a seizure as soon as the egg roll touched my tastbuds. My soul was lifted from my body. I will definitely be eating here at least three times a week and I will tell my entire family about this place.

The people who work here are so nice and friendly. Food is always really good and reasonably priced and the portions are big. They stay busy but usually get your order ready quickly. Best Chinese restaurant in the pilot mtn/mt airy area for sure.
