“First time here Patrick the manager was amazing he noticed me looking at the menu for a while and came and asked if it was my first time here then he helped me narrow what I wanted down to the Ultimate Nachos which were amazing and he even bought them out to me. The atmosphere is great and I’ll definitely be back!!!!“

“Condado #31 exceeded my expectations in every way! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the vibrant spray art adorning the walls, created by talented local artists. The place was not only visually appealing but also spotlessly clean, which added to the overall positive experience. The atmosphere was electric, and the friendly vibe was contagious. I must give a special shoutout to the bartender Gretchen, who went above and beyond to explain the food menu, including the delicious new burritos. Her helpfulness truly enhanced my dining experience. Can't wait to return for more tacos and tequila at this fantastic spot!“

“My friend and I visited this restaurant. Great atmosphere, the servers were friendly and helpful. I ordered the jinya bun and I enjoyed it even though I'm not a fan of pork. Also, I had the shrimp wonton ramen and something about the noodles didn't sit well with me.“
“I had the pleasure of collaborating with this business for a fundraiser on my university’s campus and they were amazing! The customer service was great and the owners were very responsive. It was a great experience and I hope to make it a regular occurrence!!“

“THEE BEST BIRRIA I have ever had in my life!!! No exaggeration! My husband and I ordered a variety of food to share and compare! Everything was absolutely AMAZING! The chicken wings were fresh (hand cut & split) the sauce was so yummy. The owner was very sweet and told us it would be a 15 minute wait because everything is made to order. It was worth the wait! If you see her—do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the most amazing food truck tacos around here!“

“I've been meaning to get this place for some time now. Now that I have, I've been back for a second time already, lol. This place is really good. I got the steak tacos both times, and they are amazing. The staff is friendly and I'm sure this will be a go-to spot for me when I want tacos. They have traditional street food as well as other options to choose from. I recommend this spot for sure.“

“We really used to love coming here. A year or so ago they changed the recipe on the quesadilla, which removed the shredded chicken and replaced with a wet seasoned chicken. Others may like the change, but we did not. Started to go less often, but would order the fajita meal, which is great. Recently we ordered the tacos. My wife ordered chicken and I ordered steak and chicken. The chicken tacos had the same wet seasoned chicken used in the quesadillas; we were not impressed. Will continue to come back, but only when we are up for a tasty fajita meal.“

“My husband and I eat Mexican food as often as we can, it's our fav and somehow have never known about this place. We ate there tonight and it was THE BEST Mexican food we have ever had. We are already making plans to go back next weekend. We had short rib queso, short rib tacos and chicken taquitos and the best palamos. We'll be back time and time again.“

“Upon entering, I was greeted and sat at the bar area as I was dining alone. The bartender asked if I would like chips and salsa, and I thought it was a good idea to start. The salsa was one I was unaccustomed to. This rendition featured a mix of diced tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and a surprising addition of corn. The result was a refreshing and slightly tangy concoction.A Half Frozen, Half on the Rocks Spicy Margarita was the drink of choice and it complimented the chips and salsa quite well. For the meal I ordered the Thai shrimp wrap it was filling without compromising on taste or quality. There were two ladies behind the bar and both were attentive to not only the needs of the customers but to the staff as well. While many places are great to go and eat, every aspect of the meal surpassed expectations.Loved the shirt fight cancer, live life, eat more tacos“

“Loved everything I got from here. The cabeza is so tender. And I don't know what it was about the burrito, but it was amazing. The red and green sauces both have a little kick which is nice. Just wish I had come to the place earlier in my trip!!“

“Fantastic spot to grab some food if you're visiting the Greenway! Surprisingly good selection. And you can't beat the view overlooking the Greenway, whether you sit indoors or out. Bring your kids. They can't play right outside the restaurant.“

“A Gastronomic Odyssey at Velvet Taco: Where Time Stands Still and Tacos Take FlightStepping into Velvet Taco is akin to entering a parallel universe where the traditional taco time continuum is warped into a deliciously unrecognizable dimension. Upon my grand entrance, the herald of culinary adventures, a spirited lady, proclaimed it was "Taco Time" in my honor, causing a ripple of anticipation that could be felt through the fabric of the universe. Or maybe that was just my stomach growling. My foray into their menu was no less than a heroic saga, embarking on a quest with the chicken and waffles taco as my steed and the brisket hamburger taco as my lance. These aren't your abuela's tacos; these are tacos that have seen the edge of the universe and laughed. The chicken and waffle taco was a juxtaposition of flavors so profound, it made me ponder the very nature of breakfast. Meanwhile, the brisket hamburger taco was a paradox wrapped in a flour tortilla, challenging my preconceived notions of what a taco — nay, what food itself — could be.Velvet Taco’s menu is so unique, I'm half-convinced it was conceived in a fever dream by a chef who, in a stroke of genius, decided to throw culinary convention to the wind. It’s like they're serving up dishes from a parallel universe where the taco is the pinnacle of innovation. There was a moment of existential crisis mid-bite into the brisket hamburger taco where I questioned everything. Should I have gone with a "normal" taco? But then, what is "normal" in a world that offers such transcendent taco experiences? The audacity of Velvet Taco to challenge my taste buds in such a manner was both outrageous and exhilarating. In conclusion, Velvet Taco is not just a restaurant; it's a mind-altering journey through the outer realms of flavor and texture. It’s where you go to challenge the very essence of your gastronomic soul, and perhaps, find yourself in the process. If you're tired of mundane eating experiences and yearn for something truly unique, Velvet Taco is your culinary Shangri-La. Five stars for the tacos that dared to dream, and another five for making me believe in magic again.“

“I embarked on a culinary quest in Charlotte, NC, and stumbled upon a hidden gem - Taqueria el Quetzal, parked unassumingly in the Citgo gas station lot at Archdale Drive and South Blvd. Seeking an authentic “hole in the wall” experience, I gravitated towards this vibrant taco truck. My appetite was ambitious: three tacos - chicken, steak, and seasoned pork, and for a twist, some fried plantains with sour cream and cheese. The tacos, nestled in double corn tortillas, were adorned with cilantro, tomatillo salsa, onions, radish, lime, and a brave whole jalapeño. As a self-proclaimed gringo, I’m a flour tortilla fan, but for the sake of authenticity, I dove into the corn tortillas, finding them delightfully fresh and warm.Payment? Breezy! They accept cards, and the little pager system for order readiness is efficient. My feast was ready in a precise 10 minutes.Be warned: it’s a take-out scenario. I ended up savoring my meal in my car, and no regrets there! The first bite of the fried plantains was a revelation - hot, sweet, and perfectly ripe. An absolute must-try!The tacos each told their own story. The chicken was a marinated masterpiece, tender and flavorful. The seasoned pork was a close second, slightly cooler but packed with taste. The steak taco, while flavorful, had some chewy bits of fat - might skip that next time.A word of caution for my fellow spice-averse friends: the tomatillo salsa is authentic and fiery. I learned that after a daring taste test. It’s got a medium heat that can surprise you!At just over $13, the meal was a steal for the quality and quantity. Apart from the incredible tacos and plantains, Taqueria el Quetzal also serves up quesadillas, burritos, tortas, fajitas, and even American staples like Philly cheesesteaks and hamburgers.Verdict: If you’re in Charlotte and craving authentic Mexican street food or the best fried plantains of your life, Taqueria el Quetzal is your go-to spot. Don’t miss this culinary jewel in a taco truck!“
“I tried Los Sabrosos for the first time last night from Doordash and it was delicious! The broth needed more seasoning to it but the meat and tacos themselves were good! We were craving a late night dinner at 10:00 and this place was open and had good reviews! It's shocking to see they don't have many reviews on Yelp! I'll definitely be trying more food from here!“

“We had a fantastic server told us what was going on. Felt for us for waiting for all the confusion. Best service in a long time! Pre covid times it felt like for a bit. I sure do miss those times. Covid has changed life drastically. But this restraunt makes you forget it's going on! So thanks for letting us just have a lovely night out!“

“Wow! I wasn’t expecting anything great out of this lil joint! Still talking about the chicken quesadilla and the steak tacos. The food was great! Wasn’t expecting to pay what we paid for some quick lunch food, but guess it made it up for the food being great! As long as the greatness meets the dollar sign, it’s all good and this place did that.“
“I lived in Los Angeles for 20 years where I got to know authentic Mexican cuisine. 28 years ago I came back to Charlotte and eventually gave up looking for the real thing. Today I ate two tacos from Tequeria El Dicho, a food truck.I sat near the truck at a table decorated with a festive Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) tablecloth. I squeezed my wedge of lime on a barbacoa taco, took a bite and went to heaven in my mouth! The quality, authenticity, and the incredibly rich flavors here need to be to savored slowly to be fully appreciated. I found myself wondering; 'How can something as simple as a taco have such complex and satisfying character?'The second taco was steak and every bit as good. The amount of filling in each nearly overwhelmed the soft, warm tortillas. The salsa verde has a unique zing that compliments the savory filling perfectly, and the rojo salsa has overtones of a fine, flavorful mole' with more than enough heat to make you sit up straight and pay attention! The personalities of the owner operators of this epicurean delight on wheels betrayed the pride they take in what they are creating. If you appreciate real people who know how to serve up real food, you'll love Taqueria El Dicho.I'm going back tomorrow for a burrito.“
“I’m addicted to this food truck. It’s located on the corner of South Blvd and Archdale Drive. It’s in the corner of a 76 gas station parking lot. I ALWAYS order the mini tacos (not the Gringo style) with cilantro, onions, and the hot sauce. The sauce is indeed spicy and brings the tacos to life. I need to branch out and order something else, but I like what I like. LOL!“

“Tried SouthBound today for the first time for CLT Taco Week! Can't beat $4 tacos. Tacos were delicious! I think they can do without the lettuce and tomato on the side, unnecessary and doesn't go with the flavors of the tacos. Inside is so cute. Feels more casual but not too casual, the perfect ambiance. Love the outdoor area. We will be coming back for brunch on a sunny day for build your own Bloody Mary bar and bottomless mimosas! Margarita was really yummy, and it is hard to find a good marg in charlotte... Queso was good! Tasted like they thicken it with flour, so if you have a gluten allergy be sure to ask (I did not ask). The corn tortillas are really good, not flimsy or soggy or crumbly.“

The torta was good - the bread especially - we had the asada and chorizo. - Steak Baldueno (spelling might be wrong) - like a quesadilla was very good the steak was seasoned very nicely. Plenty of parking, clean and the lady at the counter spoke enough English to explain the dishes well and was very friendly. Will be back!“
