This place is pretty much what you would expect from an older diner in a smaller southern city. Decent food and decent prices. Some vegetarian options if that's your thing. yummy chocolate shakes.

Friendly and good food! My favorite is the patty melt, cheeseburger with bacon.

Classy place with good quality people and food. Keep in mind this place is not trying to be a gastro-pub etc... it is what it is, and given this context it's a fantastic place. Biscuit are amazing and the low prices should inspire hope!

I’m not a local and was traveling through to see a customer who has relocated to this area. I passed by Al’s Diner and thought I have to stop in for lunch on my way back. Man, am I sure glad I did!!! The food was AMAZING and exactly what I was hoping for. The homemade chips were spot on with fantastic ranch for dipping. If you are from the south, you know how important good ranch is. The desserts sounded to die for but as soon as I heard Banana pudding and found out it was homemade, yep - sign me up! I was not disappointed and am still thinking about how great the food was. To top it all off, the place was clean, staff were super friendly and on a roll. I never had to ask for a thing. They were there to refill my drink before it was half empty, food came out quick, had my dessert ready to go and cleaned up my plate in front of me when I was done. If you are traveling through or relocating there and looking for a fantastic place with a variety of foods - Al’s Diner is the place! You will not be disappointed. I’m looking forward to bringing my team there when we are back in the area!

We came in for a Saturday breakfast. Loved the vintage diner look, the staff was awesome and so friendly. We found out how to make "white-pepper gravy" . The food was excellent, the coffee was hot. Loved the experience of Als, got the t-shirt, but We Will Be Back. Definitely.

We exclusively go through their drive-thru. We love to get their French toast and sandwiches!

I have visited this restaurant since 1983 and it has always been the same delicious homestyle menu and excellent service at reasonable prices. Had breakfast there yesterday and highly recommend the toasted biscuits.

When you first pull up, the outside may not seem like much, but once you’re inside, it’s a whole different story. Whether it’s breakfast or lunch, the food here is incredible. This place has become a personal tradition for me—whenever I’m heading to the state fair or the beach, I always take the back roads just so I can stop at Al’s. I’ve never been disappointed. The staff treats you like family, and the regulars will strike up a conversation as if you’ve been coming there for years. The atmosphere really reflects the charm and warmth of a small town.

This is a great place to eat. I've inky been once for breakfast and I was very satisfied. We had to wait to be seated, but well worth the wait. The entire staff was great and they had a since of humor. I will be back!!!
