First and last time at Al's Diner. Vegetable quesadilla made with fake cheese. Tried to use a coupon but was told that my lunch was not an entree but nowhere on the menu does it mention the work entree. Staff very friendly, the only positive thing about the diner

My kids and I stopped here for lunch before an afternoon at the lake. The food was good all around and very reasonable prices.The service left much to be desired. The gentleman who brought menus and went over the specials was delightful but the woman who took our orders barely spoke to us and was looking over her shoulder talking to someone else while we were trying to order.We also had a BOGO entree coupon from the Triangle Go Play Save book which I showed our server before ordering. She told me they’d take care of that at the registers. We ordered 3 burgers and a grilled cheese but when we got to the register to pay a different woman informed us burgers don’t qualify as entrees and we would have needed to order plates. I’ve never been anywhere that burgers don’t count as entrees and it honestly wouldn’t have changed our order but it would have been nice to know up front.

Excellent neighborhood burger joint. Light hearted staff. Great burgers, onion rings, tots, and thickest shakes in town. One of our regular go to places.

Horrible management! Purchased a dinner plate got home realized my food had just been thrown back in the fryer to warm it up so it was over cooked; took it back this morning just be offered a $6 breakfast and refund of $6 the difference! SMH I spent more than that in gas going back n forth with ALS plus getting a whole another Dinner!! I use to LOVE ALS but new management DO BETTER!

I gave 4 but didn't on day my finances would died I'm glad he got meal he wonted didn't know going be last meal first time eating here then couple hours later he had massive heart attack so may take long come back here it sad but happy he enjoyed his food he said was best
Tried this place on a whim, glad I did! Food was tasty, servers were happy and attentive. For a cross roads burger joint, the atmosphere was just right!

The main food was good. The tater tots were not as good as the ones you can buy in the grocery store and bake yourself. The blueberry cobbler is horrible! We almost threw up! The servers were very good. They split the tips with each other.
