This is one of my favorite local lunch spots! I’ve had both eat-in and take-out, both of which are delicious. I especially like the haricots verts, which are cooked from fresh (or at least not canned), and the cole slaw isn’t too mayonnaise-heavy. I typically get the fish and chips or the shepherds pie.
Service is very friendly, especially Heather!

The Eastern Region of the Triumph Club of the Carolinas met at Doherty’s tonight. About 20 folks. Absolutely fantastic food and service! Dylan and Breandon were terrific, and everything we ate was stellar!! We will definitely be back!

One of the best places to grab lunch in Pittsboro. A little pricey for what it is and they can get backed up if they get hit with a significant lunch or dinner rush. That said, for the area, absolutely worth checking out. The dining and bar areas both downstairs and upstairs are gorgeous.

A welcome addition to Pittsboro. The Hungarian mushroom soup and Pastrami sandwich on the were both delicious. We enjoy the location, setup, convenience, hours, and outdoor seating. Had a great outdoor waitress who was friendly and prompt! Would love to see a pup menu down the line.

It was one of the best Irish meals that I have ever had. The atmosphere was great and the service was great. I highly recommend this restaurant. Even though I live a distance from this place, I will definitely drive down to eat at Doherty's.

A proper gem of a pub!
Stopped by this cozy Irish pub on a whim and ended up having one of the best nights out in a while. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—classic wooden interiors, great music, and friendly staff who actually seem to enjoy being there.
The highlight? The sweet potato fries. Absolutely unreal—crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, with just the right amount of seasoning. I could’ve eaten a second basket on my own. Paired perfectly with a cold pint of Guinness.
Whether you're just grabbing a drink or looking for some comfort food with a twist, this place hits the spot. Will definitely be back!

As someone who lives in Pittsboro, I’ve been here a few times and it has been fantastic every time except for my most recent visit. The food, as always, is amazing and our server was so gracious and friendly. My issue is with certain members of the staff and how they talk to each other especially when paying customer are on the floor. One particular young lady was extremely rude to a younger man about some kind of vacuum that he didn’t know was there and she was also rude to her manager on duty. Throwing condiment bottles, loudly and sarcastically saying “ Well, I guess I’m just dumb”. Very unprofessional. Saying things like that is one thing when the floor is empty, but never in front of customers. Absolutely distasteful behavior.

I really like this place. Only my second time there. Brought my wife for a late lunch. It is limited for table service so we just sat at the bar which we feel like you generally get better service anyway. They don't have their own beer but do offer some from Havoc brewing from 2 doors up. They do offer several Irish brews on tap that I find better. The meatloaf is excellent. I went with the bangers and mash. 👌. The side is green beans that are sauté in garlic. Can't go wrong.

The French onion soup was a good as I've had at restaurants that charge twice as much. Very reasonable prices as opposed to other restaurants in the area
