Best Po Boy I’ve had in years
Bread is perfect crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle. Shrimp was cooked to perfection. I highly recommended.

Such a fantastic addition to the Plant and to Pittsboro. If you are fan of the classic NOLA Po Boy you have got to stop in. Shrimp, Oyster and Chicken options and some seriously delicious fries.
Kid-friendliness: It’s at the Plant in Pittsboro, so super kid friendly with lots of open spaces. Bad weather would be your only deterrent :(

Great place to get a real po'boy. Got the creek shrimp, it was slappin! The service was great, the presentation of the food was clean and well done and the shrimp themselves were massive and fried perfectly. 100/100! Wishing this business and their other restaurant well!

Excellent po’boy. The east I’ve had that I didn’t make myself. Bread is beyond excellent, it must be made on site or very local. Great seafood, as expected from the Postal crew. Must see and taste!

I’m a foodie so this review is gonna be as long as it needs to be.
Before COVID, Postal Fish had Po Boys on the menu. They were, unsurprisingly, delicious. As good as any I’d ever had in New Orleans. The Leidenheimer bread (hope I spelled that right) is perfect. The bread is a really important component of the Po boy sandwich.
But the oysters and shrimp were excellent too. However when COVID hit, it became hard to get the bread and the Po boys disappeared from the menu.
This made me and many others in Pittsboro big sad.
Now they are back as JDubs and they are as good if not better. Even without the “comeback sauce”.
But guess what?
The dadgum FRIES almost overshadow the Po boys. That’s how good their fries are. Even if Bojangles had a particularly good day and just nailed it….JDubs’ fries are actually far better.
Tonight we had the shrimp Po Boys as well as the soft shell crab. You will note that the soft shell sandwich is half the size as the others. Let me explain why.
The shrimp Po boys rock harder than AC/DC in their prime. The soft shell crabs are rich. How rich? Like Jeff Bezos Bond villain rich. Own your own island rich. They rock harder than a coked up GWAR covering Rage Against the Machine. How someone could eat a double soft shell sandwich is beyond me. But I gave the normal sized soft shell the college try after eating a large shrimp Po boy. I’m so full I may not survive. If this is how I go out…I’m okay with that.
Assuming I live, I know what I’m eating every Sunday from now until there is a complete and total breakdown of ordered society.
So yeah. I guess I recommend the Po Boys. Five stars.
