Coco bread was hard as a rock. Like it was put in the microwave for too long

Kingston 99 in Pittsboro, NC is an absolute gem and easily serves some of the best Jamaican food around. From the moment we arrived, everything about the experience felt authentic, welcoming, and unforgettable.

We ordered the jerk chicken and the Boston jerk pork, and both were outstanding. The flavors were bold, perfectly spiced, and deeply satisfying. The meat was incredibly tender, truly fall off the bone, showing the care and time put into the cooking. Every bite tasted rich, smoky, and authentic, the kind of food that makes you slow down and savor it.

What truly elevated the experience, though, was the hospitality. The owner, Jason, was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what he does. After our meal, he went above and beyond by taking us around to some of the local breweries and showing us the area. That personal touch turned a great meal into an amazing experience.
Kingston 99 isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a place to connect, explore, and enjoy incredible food made with heart. If you’re in Pittsboro and craving authentic Jamaican cuisine, this spot is a must visit.

I made the mistake of checking on my meal too soon, thinking theyd just be reheating pre-made patties. They clearly shaped and filled their patties fresh, and I've never been happier to wait for food

No reason to worry, the food is flavorful, the chicken is moist and well spiced that it melts in your mouth while you are vocalizing yummy words!

By far the biggest rip off I’ve ever experienced. Came down for some live music and a beer at The Plant. Got 2 hamburgers off a grill out front, with a Food Lion bun. The burger looked like a hockey puck the bun was awful and they were 30$. Never in my life have I had a worse tasting dry burger. The pork slider was 16$ full of fat, zero flavor and beyond dry. $46 dollars in the trash!

Yum, great traditional Jamaican food. Loved it! Had Curry chicken with cabbage, beans and rice and plantains. Great curry flavor and the chicken just fell off the bones. All was delicious and the portions are big enough to feed two. Wow! Again we loved it!

If you love Jamaican food, this place is great! Friendly and wonderful staff. I have always loved Jamaican food, but getting my daughter and friend to try anything new is impossible. I forced them to try the food and now they too, love Jamaican food.
