Great food. service & atmosphere. They have the recipes from THE RAT (rathskellar) in Chapel Hill. The Gambler & Lasagne are outstanding. You can close your eyes & it's late 60's after a winning football game at CAROLINA Every thing on the menu looks delicious.
We've eaten SEVERAL times since moving to Pittsboro & taken guests, family TOO! Love the atmosphere and definitely takes me back in time! GREAT FOOD AND Desserts too! People are AWESOME and can hear the JOY in their voice when we called to see if open before the Hurricane, YES!
We just stopped in for an ice cream and the were so friendly and quick to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend you give'em a try. I have eaten there before and everything was delicious. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Delicious with old fashioned atmosphere. Due to popularity, may need to wait a while to get served.
Food was decent, burger was good but also pretty small. Ice-cream was amazing and so delicious. If it's busy, it is very crowded and a little hard to maneuver around the restaurant and such.

Family favorite for special occasions and every day lunch. I enjoy the the grilled pimento cheese sandwich with tomato on sunflower bread the best! Ice cream is a must. Lots of fun for all ages.

The food was tasty comfort food, and the service was outstanding. We had a group of 11 come in at 7pm (they close at 7:30; we called before to make sure it was OK that we come in). We never felt rushed, everything came out in a timely manner, and we were able to order dessert, which was amazing! The atmosphere is like a museum, really cool stuff to look at.
