Vibes and service was good, but the presentation needs to be more elevated for the price. This 3 cheese tray was $20. Already expensive for the amount compared to other charcuterie places in the area, but the plastic cups are unacceptable. Also pictured is the "tiny biscuits and fancy ham". It was very dry and underwhelming. Could benefit from a sauce.

We were in town to celebrate a birthday and came on a busy Friday night. The place was packed but our party of 4 was immediately seated in a cozy room perfect for conversation. Everyone's cocktails were great, and the food was so good that we were passing plates around the table all night. Service was attentive despite the Friday night rush. The Beagle is a gem!

I made a special trip 10 miles on Saturday to find out The Beagle closed their food at 9:45 on Saturday when close is listed at 11 pm. The attitude was annoying even after I complained.I wish there were more quality restaurants in Pittsboro. Chatham County asked its citizens for feedback. I give Chatham County kudos for doing that. If there was more competition, this establishment would not be so cavalier.I’m moving to Chapel Hill because this is the only somewhat decent place available on Saturday and they shut down food service at 9:45. Just rinky dink.

The most “upscale” bar in town, but fully unpretentious.

I have been coming here since they opened as a member’s only club and I will say it’s by far one of the most consistently great places I have been here in NC. The food is always delicious, the menu is small and curated so every item is really good. One of my favorite items is the little biscuits, fancy ham & truffle cheese. I don’t like ham as a rule but I came here with someone who wanted to try it and I am so glad we did. Now I like ham, just has to be ham at the beagle! The fried chicken is delicious, the meatballs are moist, flavorful and satisfying. No plates are too big so you can order a few things to have a range of flavors. The drinks are always spot on and the service is fast and accommodating.Tonight I stopped in for a burger and it was so good I didn’t even get a pic before I dug in. Perfectly cooked on a potato bun with red onion and cheddar cheese, it’s the backyard burger you wish your dad made. Then I had the raspberry, pistachio & mascarpone cream trifle. I paused long enough to photograph it.Come into this charming spot and feel like a local, order a drink and get some apps, make a friend at the bar or go hide at a table in the back either way you won’t be sorry.Luckily I have pics from other visits here because the food is so good and beautiful.

Great drinks, wish they had more bourbon drink options, good food, serving sizes could be larger but delightful all n all.
