Absolutely outstanding experience!!! We were so happy we chose Sycamore as our dining choice this past Saturday. From the moment we were seated our experience was 5 Star!!!
The drinks unique and perfectly executed. The dinner was certainly one of the best ever. And our server was so responsive and in tune with all of our needs.
Deserts were to die for.
If I’d have known how fantastic this experience was as when I lived in Cary I’d have driven to Pittsboro instead of Raleigh for true fine dining experience.
We will be back often!!!

I have probably been here 50 times and I deal with the front of the house because the food is so good, but they take this restaurant from a 5 star to a 3. I have never met a group so unaccommodating in my life. I could go back 10 visits but here are a couple. We went to the game dinner last week which was excellent FOOD. A couple in our party got there early, the bar was empty and they said we will sit at the bar and order a drink until the rest of the party gets here. No you can't do that. I have never been to even a lower class restaurant that you couldn't order a drink at the bar while you wait. The wine pairing was optional for the dinner. We want to order our own wine and some cocktails. I don't think you can do that, the bartender is too tied up with the wine pairings. Come on you are opening one type of wine per course. They did finally relent with some convincing. Today we walk in 10 minutes after opening and say we will sit at the bar for dinner please. No you can't do that we are not set up , you can wait in there. What the chairs at the bar weren't there? We got there early because we had plans for after dinner. I have never left there without spending a minimum of 200-300 per couple, the game dinner was over 1200. They are just so unfriendly and basically rude. I know there are going to be excuses for all of this but that is exactly what they are continually, excuses. Back to Bin 54.

We decided to try The Sycamore for our anniversary and we could not have been more impressed!
The staff was friendly and welcoming from the start. The space is really nicely done. The food was unbelievable. The steak was probably the best I've ever had!! The salad was great, the brussel sprouts were great, everything was great. The cheesecake was the perfect way to wrap up the perfect meal.
Highly recommended!!

Had dinner here last as part of a 6 person group. The lounge area was pretty cool, played pool and had a couple of beers before we were seated. Had 7:45 reservations and was seated on time. They also transferred our bar bill to the dinner bill, which I like. We chatted for about 10 mins and then ordered our food. It took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. I got the 14 oz Ribeye steak and was very disappointed. The steak was about a quarter inch thick, at $59 I would think it would be at least 1 inch thick. I ordered mid rare, it came out medium. It was also room temp to borderline cold. There was zero sear on the steak. The flavor was seriously lacking, so I had to add salt just to have some taste. Being in a group I didn't want to complain. Now everyone else in the party enjoyed their meals. It was my mistake ordering a steak at a non steakhouse type of restaurant.

We went for a birthday and we were blown away with the food and the ambience. We started with bruschetta and steak tartare.
The crunch of the bruschetta bread with the soft cheese and rich balsamic was a treat. But the star of the appetizers has to be the steak tartare. The meat itself is tender and juicy. The flavors explode in your mouth and on top of the crunchy bruschetta, it was amazing.
The steaks are all from Creekstone Farms, arguably the best cuts of meat in the US. The ribeye was so marbled I could feel the sizzle. It’s the kind of steak that whispers, ‘You deserve this.’ ???
The filet was just uicy, buttery, and so tender it practically is spreadable. We paired it with a Montalcino, and it was a match made in carnivore heaven.
The Tilefish was flaky and sweet. So much flavor packed in a delicate package.
The sides are shareable for sure. Haw River foraged mushrooms, Mac and cheese and the Brussels sprouts all paired well with the steak and even the sprouts worked with the fish.
The only criticism is the live music (piano) was a little bit loud for conversation. The piano player was talented for sure. With the limited space it’s hard to turn the volume down on a piano, it is definitely understandable.

Save your money! Attended the seafood festival today and was absolutely horrified. Spent $10 to attend, $33 for a lobster roll ( hot dog bun with very little lobster)and another $5 for chips. Talked to the owner about the service and food. He probably needs to pick another profession.
