I am passionate about supporting local businesses, so it pains me to post this review. However, I shared this issue with them privately via their FB page and did not receive any response (beyond the auto-reply that comes as soon as you send a message). My original message to them, on March 5, 2024 read: "Hello - I'm reaching out to share our recent experience eating at Virlie's. We live in Pittsboro and frequent Virlie's a few times per month. We stopped in to grab dinner on 3/4/2024, arriving a couple minutes after 7pm. One of the employees - I believe her name is Morgan - was quick to greet us and take our drink orders. Then, we waited more than 20 minutes for anyone else to acknowledge us or offer to take our orders. Multiple employees were nearby during that time, spending time chatting with other customers, gathering to present a piece of cake and a birthday song to a nearby table. We had decided to leave and head somewhere else in town. An employee approached us as we were getting up and asked for our order - no acknowledgement of the long wait, no apology for the fact that we were ignored all that time. We had burgers, which were good; however, our fries had obviously been out of the fryer for a bit and were droopy and not hot. We also did not have beverages for most of our meal, and no one ever returned to our table to check on us. We love supporting local businesses. and we focus on highlighting the positive publicly. [We seek to let] small businesses know privately when things could be improved. Hopefully this message will help ensure that all customers have a positive experience when they visit Virlie's."

I stopped in here on a whim, didn't really know much about it but the place was packed so I figured it must be good! Indeed it was good! And the ladies that work here are amazing! They really take care of their customers. I don't travel through Pittsboro often but next time I do I'll be back!
I got the double cheeseburger & the fry basket.. let me just keep it simple.. probably one of the best burgers I’ve had. Such a simple burger, but also so much yum at the same time. A+ 10/10

I heard about Virlie's Fried Chicken special and was in the area and had to try it. They only have it every other Tuesday but you must get it - it tasted GREAT!The service was excellent and it is a really nice local diner
This place is a blast from the past. This is the kind of diner I grew up with and all the food is definitely comfort food.

I ordered the Greek omelette with grits and it was okay! But the coffee was extremely watered down. The server was very sweet and took the coffee off of the bill.Parking: Parked across the street. Parking is first come first serve.

Absolutely incredible. The food, service, atmosphere is spot on. This place was like a Time Machine and brought me back home. We actually planned to go somewhere else but they were closed and gave Virlie's a try and now I can't see myself going anywhere else when we come through Pittsboro. I would post a picture of my food but I consumed it fairly quickly.
