I am a huge fan of this restaurant. While it may not have the largest and most extensive of menus for an Indian restaurant, what they do have is very, very good. Among the appetizers, the bhel puri Is one of my favorite versions of that blend of flavors. The scallops pulse Is outstanding and my favorite seafood entrée. Among the vegetarian dishes the saag is good, but the baingan bharta and shamsavera kofta are my very favorites.

The two waitresses there are very kind and very helpful. The view is delightful.

Overall, I found it a wonderful experience, and was so happy to find some quality Indian food on the Outer Banks.

The worst kind of food and that too at a very heavy price. No Indian taste at all. I don’t recommend this to anyone.

Very good restaurant! Highly recommend if you are looking for something a little different on the beach. It also has some of the best views you could ask for! Will definitely be going back!

Absolutely the best meal I have had in a long time. They have somehow managed to still keep the food affordable. Absolutely perfect setting and the staff was incredible friendly even when my 80yo father just wanted to talk their ear off. Truly awesome and we will be back!

The restaurant has potential but is brought down significantly by quality of service. The ambience and quality of food were good but one of the waitress refused to let us order 1 entree to start and then order another entree afterwards. That itself warrants a low rating because we should be able to order however we want. We also did not order any rice based on reviews that stated leftover rice from other tables would be reused. These two points are enough to leave a very bad taste in my mouth even though the food was solid and atmosphere was very good. I hope the restaurant recognizes these reviews and addresses them properly.

The service was terrible — the comments about the older waitress are all true. When we asked to order an order an entree with naan she said “no you will not” and made us order a second entree. Rudest waitress I’ve ever encountered. Gratuity is set at 20% and that’s not posted anywhere. Would give this place zero stars if possible.

Kind Service | Delicious food | Beautiful view

We have been driving past Masala Bay for years, on the way to our vacation. This year, we decided to finally try it.

The restaurant was not too crowded, when we visited (a little after 5pm on a Tuesday night). The staff greeted us warmly, including the chef, and showed us to our table with a great vista of the water.

We started with an order of the toasted garlic naan. And we split our entrees, shrimp korma and butter chicken, which were large portions that came with plenty rice.

The waitress spent time telling us the story of the restaurant and we finished with a small plate of gulab jamun.

Overall, one of the best experiences and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for some Indian cuisine.

A very unpleasant experience. This place does NOT serve authentic Indian food. The flavors were bland and nothing like real Indian cuisine. Portions were incredibly small; one dish was barely enough for one person. On top of that, we weren’t given enough napkins or even basic cutlery like spoons and forks. The worst part was the service. The lady who took our order and the one who served us were both extremely rude and dismissive. Would not recommend.

We had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. Service was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we asked to order more naan, the lady told us we have to wait until others had eaten and see if there were any leftovers. Seriously? That was the worst experience ever.

Zero starts actually. Worst experience ever. Food portions were really small and one portion is not enough for a single person. They say that naan is complementary and then they add it to the check. Also the staff is not professional enough.

Highly disappointing. The biriyani I ordered was mostly just chili pieces and onions, with no real flavor. The portion size was also very small. On top of that, the lady who took our order was extremely rude to us. I would not recommend this place.
