This is one of the best soul food restaurants I have ever eaten from. I do not live here in this great state but I will not let my visit(s) go by without swinging by Virgils for my chitterling combo. The meats are not greasy or tough or over seasoned and the sides are kicking good let alone the hush puppies , which I very much appreciate. Keep up the good work Virgil's owner and staff. As a matter of fact I'll see you this week.
Virgil’s is soul food at its best. The takeaway plates are packed. It was yummy.IMPORTANT: From one hour to close, they no longer cook food. You’ll have to order from whatever they have left. If you want to ensure that you get the items you want, never order near closing time.

Fried chicken sandwich was a bones-in breast-wing on white bread. $5. Six onion rings $7.25. No-taste sweet tea $3.25. Friendly and food hot but took way too long. My mistake this time for not reading earlier reviews and making better menu choices.
