We had an amazing dinner at Aija for my birthday. I've been waiting to go for a while and it was better than I could have expected. We shared everything and every single dish was perfect. 100 stars!!

We had awesome service from the bartender! She was very careful and checked in about my allergies (celiac). I felt super safe and the food was absolutely phenomenal! The olive oil is out of this world and the gf pita was spectacular!!! I can't wait to come back!

It was my birthday (and my husband’s, two days earlier), and our first visit to Ajja. From the very beginning, everyone was incredibly attentive, spoiler alert: the cute signs too, and treated us like family (the highest compliment). Special thanks to Mia, Miley, and the seat-assigning gentleman whose name we didn’t get.

Every dish was off the hook, so creative and delicious that it’s no wonder they’re James Beard semifinalists this year. By the way, my favorite was the Ghee Roasted Delicata (more to explore, but for now).

Again, a big thank you to the chefs (congrats!) and the entire crew for such a wonderful experience. We can confidently say Ajja is now our absolute favorite dining spot in the entire Triangle area.

Its like Mediterranean food if someone only had it once and then tried to make it.

Hummus was not delicious.
Bread was not delicious.
Not going back

We ordered the lamb tajine and the chicken.

We went there for a special occasion and expected good food but were utterly disappointed. The dishes were definitely not worth the money you spend.
The baby back ribs had at max 3 bites of meat to it, and they were really tough to chew on. The drinks were the o my sack g grace

A perfect NYE spent at our fave Raleigh restaurant!

To prove how much we enjoyed it, here are some quotes from my wife from dinner:

‘Spectacular (in reference to the celeriac puree)
‘adds a layer of complexity and creates a symphony in my mouth’ (the charred greens with the duck)
‘I’ve never had anything this light before - It’s like going through little clouds’ (the celeriac purée)
‘I’m so full - I didn’t wear the right pants’
‘Yummy yummy to my tummy’ (farewell old fashioned)
‘Top to bottom, meal has been sensational’

By the end of the meal, she stopped listening to me entirely and just started dancing in her seat and going mmmmmmm.

Thank you and hope the team enjoys some rest after all the hard work!

Pretty boring, uninspired dishes for the price touting upscale vegetarian options but all I could get was bread and dips. One person in my party was unable to eat anything they had to offer without modifications they were simply unwilling to make. They demanded reservations to sit anywhere besides the bar even though tables were clearly available the whole time were sat there unable to maintain a coherent dinner time conversation. I suspect they were discriminating against certain members of our party

A delightful journey into another world. Delicious food, each dish was its own explorative experience. The flavors were amazing, unique and bold. Meat was incredibly tender. Service was excellent, the atmosphere was lovely and I again felt like I was journeying somewhere. It was a perfect escape from the triangle and made me ready for my next travel adventure.

We came here off a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the service was impeccable. The drink menu is large and I appreciate the spirit free options (pomegranate spritz was perfect for the holiday season).

We started with the three dips and bread which were perfect to kick things off. We followed with the lamb which was the star of the night for me. It was warm and tender and perfect on a cold night, with the pistachio rice just amplifying it. Then we did the short rib, carrots and cabbage and broccoli. Do not sleep on the cabbage and broccoli, it was so flavorful and a surprise favorite. We finished things off with both dessert options, but the flan was my personal fav.

I highly recommend for a great night out that allows for a leisurely dinning experience with some unique and fantastic flavors. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved it! Was our first time at Ajja, we went for our 10 year wedding anniversary…the food was amazing!!!
We shared various dips and then had the broccoli & cabbage and the trout dish for mains. Flavors are so unique and tasteful.
The service was really good and place is beautiful inside!
Highly recommend!!
