The workers had given me the incorrect order. Hence, they were too busy whispering about other customers in line instead of making sure that they plate the right dishes. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. People work too hard for their money for you all to be so worried about what other customers are doing that you aren’t even attending too versus the people that are actually ordering. First time here and I’m very disappointed and unimpressed. Customer service and workers can throw everything off regardless of how the food tastes.

We visit Alpaca about three times a week because the food truly is good, but the customer service consistently needs improvement. The menu is also misleading. A half chicken is supposed to include two sides, yet we are always charged an extra 50 cents for each side. Every time we bring this up, no one can clearly explain why. Instead, the staff usually just smiles and continues what they were doing, which feels dismissive.
Another issue is that we joined the rewards program, but not once has anyone asked for our information at checkout, so the points never get applied.
We enjoy the food, but if the customer service doesn’t improve—and if we continue being charged extra for sides that should be included—we will unfortunately stop coming. Good food should be matched with clear communication and respectful, attentive service.

They charge me extra for the Yuca because I wanted fries and they never put fries in my order🤦🏽

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY… first the GOOD…this restaurant’s food is so jampacked with incredible flavors that I literally drive all the way from the Outer Banks to Raleigh North Carolina with the intention of eating at this place. The chicken rotisserie is amazing and the Tostones are incredible. In my Puerto Rican culture, we do not dip the tostones in anything because they are so good by themselves, but the cream sauces that this Peruvian restaurant serves is addictive. I never thought I could commit a crime by dipping my Tostones, but here I am, guilty as charged. I am a Latin female and can tell you that my culture would fully approve! The BAD now… It’s too far from my home, 200 miles!!! The UGLY …I never allow myself to share my plate with my husband. Regarding the service, the attendants are friendly and do their best to serve with a smile. The atmosphere is nothing special, but it certainly is more than adequate for food in this price range.

The food was really good. The eating area and restaurant area are clean. The staff are available for assisting customers, they move around the seating area which appreciated because we didn’t have to get up. The Cilantro dressing and yellow sauce were our favorite condiments. All of the food tasted fresh. I’d recommend this place and will return when I’m in the area.
