We were lucky enough to be a part of the Humphries Thanksgiving with you all. We brought home the cheesecake to have for lunch today. It was the best we have ever eaten. We'll be back, because we are locals. Thank you ALL..

Thanksgiving great deal for dinner, plenty of food. The dinner to dessert should have paused a few minutes.

Tough serving so many dinners, the turkey gravy should be hot, the sides could have been warmed.

The food was delicious especially the meat.

Coming back next year. 😁

We were seated at the exact time as our reservation. The atmosphere was so inviting. Our waitress was exceptional. The food was OK. The sides that came with the main “entree” were soooo good!!! But the steaks were not that great. That were cooked perfect to temp. But the outside of the steak was charred and they had absolutely NO seasoning/flavor to them whatsoever. Literally everything else about this restaurant is amazing! The other sides, the desserts, the wait staff, the appetizers, etc. We drove almost 2 hours to eat here, to get one of these “famous” steaks
And they weren’t good at all. Other than being perfectly cooked to temp. We would like to come back, we just won’t be getting steaks.

After waiting the 3 months for reservations the food was highly subpar since our last visit. Highly disappointing for the prices they charge!

Tonight was my first experience at the Raleigh institution The Angus Barn and we were 💯 UNDERWHELMED! The lobby smelled of dirty Depends overshadowed by industrial ammonia cleaner. Up the stairs we went to “The Wild Turkey Bar”. There were several available seats so we sat and waited
and waited
and waited some more while the two bartenders (Jackson and X) chatted away with a couple other staff members. Finally, I interrupted them and asked for a menu. Jackson then did come over and ask what we would like. My husband asked to sample a particular wine; the sample was put down and Jackson went back to his conversation. I waited four minutes before interrupting and asking for one of them to assist with a wine. Our dinners, mediocre at best, were brought and yet my husband still had no wine. Asked again and it was brought over. Not another check in for the entire time we were eating. We finished and waited, and waited before again asking for our check. At that point Jackson became friendly and asked if we wanted anything else and “how was everything”. Exceptionally poor service until it was time for a tip to be assigned and then over solicitous. We will not bother to return. #angusbarn #raleighnc #poorservice #mediocreatbest #dontbother

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the US. I make special trips to visit - it’s that good (normally). Today, I ordered Prime Rib - both times it was so tepid a temperature it made me uncomfortable. I understand you don’t want to overcook the meat - BUT serving it barely warm is no good. Anyway they brought the prime rib twice and both times it was barely warm. They comped me in the end, which I apppreciated, because I am not sure I will ever return. Uggh!

I'm not even sure where to begin with this one? Let's just say my wife and I loved our experience at the Angus Barn and thoroughly enjoyed our first visit. The food was great, the people were very friendly, and the staff was awesome! Curtis (our server) did an outstanding job we look forward to our next visit!

Just a heads-up, though: Be sure to make a reservation before you visit! They may take walk-ins, but I can only imagine how long that wait would be if you tried this. Trust me -- reservations make a difference!

We will never ever recommend or return to Angus Barn. We treasured our Christmas dinner every year and fought the crowd to make our year ahead reservations and it was something worthwhile to us. However based off the treatment our family of 5 received on December 14th I am appalled. It is also alarming that such an establishment would employ a person with such outlandish behavior. We were seated at one of the circular dining tables with chairs. We had ordered drinks and oysters and were about to browse the menu for our dinners. Our 3 year old son was trying to push our stroller out of the cubby and we told him no. He began to throw a tantrum. Within 30 seconds an older woman appeared and offered to TAKE my stroller with our 3 month old in it, and push it around. She thought the crying was from the 3 month old and not our 3 year old. We let her know it wasn't the baby that was crying (obviously) and it was our older son and we handled it. She then offered to take him to her office for ducks(?) so we could enjoy our dinner and insisted that doing "that" will help. We let her know that was not needed and we handled it. She still hovered uncomfortably and we again reiterated that we were fine and she left. When she finally left we went to place our 3 year old in his high chair and he was still fussy from the incident moments before and the bizarre employee coming over so he was less then amused. Within maybe 60 seconds the woman came back and insisted she take him to go get ducks, she has "grandkids" so she "knows" what to do. I said we have it handled and she let us know we were disrupting the entire restaurant, and that we should consider leaving..... I was mind blown for VARIOUS reasons. FIRST and FOREMOST, what planet is this STRANGER ON that she thinks she can take someone's child, from their parents, in a foreign establishment??? What on earth?!!! She is a stranger!!!!! We don't know her!!! She could be a felon or mentally unstable and kidnap and or hurt our child. Secondly, if you're going to claim you "know" how to handle kids you should probably be able to tell the difference between a newborn cry and a toddler tantrum. There's a major sound difference. Also just because you have "grandkids" doesn't mean you have a power to calm a toddler who's a STRANGER to you. It's honestly laughable how idiotic that statement was. No stranger is going to calm a normal toddler behavior without knowing the toddler. Thirdly, we live in a day and age where we support mothers. We were VERY aware of our 3 year old beginning a tantrum and they do not have a power off switch. Sometimes it takes 30 seconds or 5 minutes. Give some grace to your patrons. Angus barn is a family restaurant with a kids menu, not Michelin star restaurant (which our children have been to 3 and never been treated so barbarically.) This is not Angus Barn's first tantrum and definitely not their last toddler tantrum. The irony in this all is that my husband and I felt so uncomfortable that we did decide to leave. He left first with the rest of our family and I stayed to get the check. When our server came he seemed so baffled as to where our party went and what happened. I let him know what the crazed employee said to us. He said we were not disrupting anyone and he didn't know who came over but he would find out. He was encouraged us to stay but I let him know we wouldn't spend a dime on an establishment that employees a grandma with a "Karen" behavior problem. Shameful. When he returned with our check he also gave me a free cake. He said he was so sorry and wished we could puke have had a better experience. We are grateful for him and his attitude. SHAME on you Angus Barn. Who you hire represents YOU!!!! Disgusting and shameful behavior. We have and will forever share this story of how we were treated as patrons and the type of people you employ.
