I give 3 stars because they are using bioengineered food in their arepas

A very laid back restaurant that offers a casual setting along with amazing food. Spices and sauces compliment any dish you order. Gluten-free foods are offered as an alternative. Would definitely go again.

Fillings were very salty.
Be aware that tips are calculated for prices that include taxes

I went here with my team from work and we took turns ordering separately. When it was my turn I ordered a Specialty Cachapa with beef, a La Tica Arepa, and a side of Swewt Plantains. He asked me if I wanted a bowl which was confusing because I didn't see any La Tica bowls. He was hard to understand so I made him repeat that a few times. I said no, Areepa, and he asked Arreppa? I said yes, Arrrepppa, and paid.
When my order came there was an arepa and plantains. When I asked about the cachapa, they showed me a receipt with two items on it. When I said I ordered 3, they took me back to the register and rang up the cachapa, then gave it to me.
I rejoined my work team with my food and after starting on everything realized the arepa was beef, not chicken.
I reviewed my email receipts and see He rang up La Pelua instead of La Tica, a shame because I would have enjoyed the variety I wanted to sample instead of two beef items.
Of course I couldn't finish it all and asked for a box, to which he handed me a bag. I said how about a box too? And he showed me lids. OK, that worked out.
My advice is to be prepared for a language barrier and make sure your order is correct and complete before paying. Three issues due to this is problematic.
Finally, the total of my two checks including tip on only the first one was $31.15. For basically a fast food lunch with no drink, that's not a good value in my opinion.

Fast and delicious food here! I enjoyed learning about Venezuelan cuisine from their very informative menu. The arepas themselves are so fluffy and soft- and the fillings are seasoned to perfection. My friend got a Cachapa- absolutely FILLED with cheese!! Perfection.

They have vegetarian options (vegan too!) and even coffee options. I would recommend to anyone in the area to try from this local spot/ it beats all the chains around it. Perfect for someone who wants to try something different.

The food here is very Americanized, though the flavor is definitely there. We tried four different arepas from the menu. The presentation was really nice and the prices were reasonable, but the food was served either cold or at room temperature, which my mom and I found odd. The salmon was also a bit too salty. That said, the cilantro sauce was amazing, and I really liked the juice selection, it was authentic.

The arepa combinations were creative, but overall the experience still felt more American than traditional. The staff did not greet us when we came in, which isn’t required but does make the place feel less welcoming. The seating was uncomfortable, and some of the tables were a bit dirty. On the plus side, they recycle, there’s plenty of parking, and they offer outdoor seating.

Overall, not a bad place at all. However, if you’ve had really good arepas in the past this place does not compare. Great atmosphere though!

I was disappointed with the Arepas Culture. Quality of the food, prep and taste... not good almost bland.. Vegetarian arepas had a slice of tomato (not cooked) and very few caramelized onions and black beans that's it (again bland taste) The Arepas taste like dough without other flavor.Having eaten Arepas from the local competitor in Raleigh .. they were closed today . Arepas culture is a BIG step down. Never go here again, I'll wait for the local competitor in Raleigh to be open

Falan with Offline - Great service. I enjoyed the La Tics arepa. I did not like the La Surena as much as the chicken. The rice and beans were fresh and good. The peach just was okay. It has an acquired taste.
