Azitra is my favorite restaurant in the Raleigh/Durham area, and I will never pass up an opportunity to eat here. The range of options is incredible, and they will customize the heat level for you. I also really enjoy the deep wine list. I look forward to the day when I make it big and can try a glass of DRC.
The staff are very attentive and handle food allergies very well. I've eaten here many times with coworkers, one of whom has an allium sensitivity. The manager said the kitchen could make some dishes for him special by removing the onions and garlic. Really nice of them.

I used to travel to Raleigh frequently and ate at Azitra as often as possible. I haven’t been there in a few years BUT I will be returning soon for a wedding and cannot wait to share the restaurant with my husband!
South asian restaurant run by white chef. too much americanized food, missing authentic flavor. Naan’s are good though.

VERY DISAPPOINTING experience. Our group of 4 had reservations for dinner, the bill was over $200 when it was all said and done, which is fine if the service, and food quality is commensurate with the expense, but it was not. The server took longer than usual with our drink orders, my wife ordered the chicken Masala, with no extra spice, (as it is served significantly more spicy than she prefers). When all our meals were delivered my wife’s did not arrive. We waited way longer than we should have as we knew they were busy and assumed that SURELY they were still working on her meal??? After about 10 minutes we finally said something, and apparently her order had not been sent to the kitchen. The waiter apologized, and rushed off to the kitchen. Another 10 minutes later her meal finally arrived (as the rest of us were almost finished), and when it arrived it was NOT mild, It was exactly as it usually comes with more spice than she can handle, and made her eyes water it was so incredibly spicy. We mentioned it to the server, and then the manager, and they took it back to the kitchen. The manager brought a corrected replacement to my wife as the rest of us were boxing up our leftovers. My wife spent the entire meal with an empty plate watching us eat (She told us not to wait). The next fail was the waiter NEVER (Not even once during the entire meal) came back to ask if we would like refills on our beverages. Thankfully the water girl kept our water glasses filled, or we would have been at the table with our taste buds on fire, and nothing to drink. The last straw was when we mentioned that we were a little disappointed, the waiter told our guests that he was not even supposed to be our server, that they had given him this table at the last minute and we were not even in his section (so much for making reservations). Another important point to note: They are VERY Stingy with the additional sauces. We asked for extra Masala sauce and they brought us these tiny little sauce servings that at best were maybe half an ounce. For a $200 meal, we left very disappointed. Thank goodness there are more reasonable priced options, that are actually better!

Best Indian in the Triangle for our taste - and vetted by several actual Indian friends ! Of course, it's not home cooked Indian, but it's a great choice for a real Indian food craving.

We enjoy the savory flavors of Indian food but cannot handle the hot and spicy dishes. The server was very helpful in describing the dishes and explaining which ones could be made mild to medium. We didn't realize it was restaurant week. There were some interesting choices. I selected from the special menu; my wife ordered her favorite (buttered chicken). The salad was amazing. All the food had great flavors. The entrees were excellent. The dessert was quite interesting, very savory and not too sweet, almost indescribable combination of flavors and textures. We got there a bit early, so it was very quiet. By the time we left the restaurant was filling up and the noise level picked up. Overall, it was a very nice experience.
Amazing carnivore choices including mixed kabob appetizer, creamy lobster/crab and lamb shank entrees!
Easy time to go during brunch. Nice menu options and courteous and swift service. Food was delicious but portions could have been better.
The service was excellent, the food tasty. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. We've been here several times before, and it never disappoints.

After having had a terrific meal here last year we were excited to return. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The best part of the meal was the bread - hot and fresh. The vindaloo was tough and not very tasty - The shrimp and crab appetizers were also lacking in distinct flavors. Samosas were good although not my favorite but my husband wanted them.
I have never had Indian food. My husband took me on a date here. We were seated upon arrival by a friendly host. The decor was inviting and upscale. Our server was not too friendly, especially when he said, “Is that all?” and took our menus. I was scared to ask him questions because of his demeanor. The food came out quickly, and the garlic naan was delicious. My dish was fresh and tasty. This is a pricey establishment; we ordered two main dishes which did not come with vegetables or a side, and naan (bread) was $5.00. However, I can check this off my bucket list.
One of the better places to dine in the area. Really great service, fantastic food and you can hear everyone at your table speak!! HIGHLY recommend Azitra, You won't be disappointed.
Dinner was amazing! I had lamb chops and they were awesome. The ambiance was amazing as well.
We ordered Merlot red for our drinks. Pricey ($13) for a 30oz drink. Of the 2 starter dishes the Lamb Lamb Pepper Fry was gamey and the Karara Murg was ok - it almost seemed like tomato sauce was drizzled over chicken cubes. The main course - Chicken Hariyali Lazzatdar was ok, nothing out of the world. Overall pricey and i would say not a place where value for money.
