I used to go to this location very often even before covid. Even during the covid era, I still supported their business and was fine with their change of charging system (not by the number of bowls but by the weight of food). Then post covid, it got worse. My food container was half filled with fried rice, which I asked to put less because they have been giving me ever since they started charging by weight. My food was very overcooked, almost felt mushy. I can't believe I paid for such quality. That's when I decided not to go back again. I tried other locations (cary and the one in strickland rd) and they have been awesome. I will stick around the other locations from now.

Love this place I always carry out and they never seem busy. Food is fast and always tasty. Little tip skip the bowls just put it on the tray.

We have gone to Bali Hi for years, going back to the old location on Wake Forest road. The food is still as good as ever, but the pricing is way to high. I miss the day of paying by the bowl.

Food is always good. You can choose your level of spiciness and sauce type. You also choose what meat and vegetables you want to eat. It comes with white or fried rice and you can add noodles. I recommend adding the pineapple to your meal. My only complaint is that it is always warm in there.

I've never liked this place, even before the newest location but I went anyway. The food is good but they pile heavy, wet rice on your plate and then weigh it. Do you know how much cooked rice weighs? A lot and it's such a cheap thing to make yet they charge you by the ounce. The bill choked me! I won't be back!

Worst Mongolian place I've ever been. Only thing positive is the food bar. Everything is well chilled. No service, minimal drink selection, over priced for what you get. Drive the extra 12 miles to crazy Fire.

I've been going to Bali Hai about 35 years. I think today was my last visit. They now put all food in to-go containers even if you are eating in. You pay when you pick up your to-go container. When I asked for water the woman, I won't call her a lady, very rudely told me she didn't have time to get water and I would need to buy a drink.Food was still great. Atmosphere and service left a lot to be desired.End of an era. I won't be back. I doubt they survive much longer.

The food was really good. First time here and I only came because my husband raved about it so much. I will say on a 81 degree day there was no AC so it was insane hott in there. No direction for new people on where to go once you walk in. And we got there at like 5 and we were like the 2nd couple in there. Was beyond empty felt kinda creepy. You can tell it once was in its prime but it's not so much anymore ?‍♀️ also I feel they should add more toppings like broccoli and things more choices

So if you're expecting a normal Mongolian grill experience, be prepared for disappointment. They only had two kinds of mystery meat on display, and the bowls you can use don't let you put anything.Drinks are all by the bottle and the food is by weight, served only in to go boxes. The folks were nice, but the food was lackingKid-friendliness: They had literally only one high chair that we used.

What should’ve been an eight dollar plate of food ended up costing me $15 with tax because they added a pound and a half of rice into my order. I won’t come back to this place it’s a rip off adding that extra weight. sad thing was the food was great.

I've been a patron of Bali Hai for over 20 years mostly at the old restaurant on Wake Forest Rd prior to it burning down. The food and service was always great. Sometimes a long line at lunch but they got you in and out. Now since the pandemic, it's take out even if you eat in. It's not the same as it was. The price per pound is a bit expensive. I think they're hurting their business by charging every one like the this. I always enjoyed eating in the restaurant because the food was hotter and fresher than taking it home. I used to eat there at least once a week. Now maybe once a month. The restaurant is never busy now. I miss the lines. I miss eating at a table with the food served on a plate not a styrofoam take out container. I miss having a beer with my food.

The owners have ruined what was once a great place to eat !! What a shame if they weren't so cheap and stupid they could have a hell of a restaurant empire !! If they could only return to the quality of the original place that burned !!
