Best hotdogs in Raleigh hands down! My wife wanted to do a hotdog tasting at various highly rated hotdog joints around town. We had some great dogs over the course of the day but none were as good as the ones we had at Uptown Dog. My wife’s first words upon her first bite of their Picnic dog (topped with potato salad) were “OMG, 10 out of 10”. Great dog (you can select from different meats and brands, we chose a Nathan’s beef), delicious buns, and perfect condiments (the chili made by the owner, D’s, wife was excellent too. While Uptown Dogs location is convenient for many in Raleigh, it was a bit of a drive for us, but the next time we want a great dog there is no question, we will happily make the drive. If you like great hotdogs and a friendly and helpful owner, do yourself a favor and go to Uptown Dogs.

Dwayne was really nice and very welcoming. When we came in, he went over the menu, and made great recommendations. Everything we ate was delicious(uptown dog, brightleaf dog with chili and Nathan's dog with chili and onions). I like that he offers beef and turkey hotdogs for those of us that don't eat pork. He's chili is homemade along with the potatoe salad. I can't say enough how good the food was. If you go by try the strawberry lemonade it's the best.

D, the owner, is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet! Love his passion for being a small business owner and serving others. As far as the food goes the Smoked Turkey Dog is where it's at, it's truly an "underdog"!

This place is great! The food is Amazing and the prices are affordable. The staff are so nice. I have a great experience every time I go here. I got the smoked turkey hotdogs (absolutely amazing) with mustard, cheese and turkey chili. I also got a Sabrett Spicy Sausage ( amazing) with mustard, beef chili and cheese. These are Real grilled hotdogs. I highly recommend this place. Especially if you love hot dogs and sausages.

Horrible. Why does it take 30 minutes to make one hot dog? And the owner acts like that didn't happen...please avoid this place.

10 out of 10, highly recommend!! I met my mom here after I got off of work. This was our first time coming and definitely not the last. After the menu was explained to us, we both went for the uptown picnic dogs. DE-LI-CIOUS! We both cleaned our plates. Lol. This place is definitely a vibe. I even enjoyed singing with the DJ for a minute. These dudes remind me of some cool ass uncles. I’ll be back soon! 💁🏽♀️
