From charming date nights to lazy afternoons — Barcelona Wine Bar truly has something for everyone, and elevates the Raleigh dining scene in every way.
The wine selection is incomparable to anywhere else in our area (& my personal favorite is their red sangria, delightfully jazzed-up with elderflower liquor). And from the fresh bread and olive oil to the delicious rotating tapas, everyone in your party will find a top-class dish to love.
However, where this restaurant truly shines is in its management and staff. Beyond their expert knowledge and skill— they’re always ready with excellent recommendations— these folks are genuinely kind and absolutely lovely to hold a conversation with, even in the midst of often-busy shifts! Their care and heart is what makes this place one of Raleigh’s best— and keeps many people like me coming back to wile away the time on their beautiful patio. I cannot recommend them enough!

I flew in from LA to visit my friend from North Carolina and this place truly was the highlight of my trip. The staff was so amazing and the food was DELICIOUS. Josh was our server and he was truly the best, we went in for one drink and because of him stayed 3 hours. He was so kind enthusiastic and bubbly and gave us all of the best recommendations. We also spoke with Carter and he was so sweet and helpful!! I can’t wait to come back to this place again, Josh and Carter really made my trip:)

Came here last night with a friend visiting from out of town and had the absolute PLEASURE of having Josh as our server! He was extremely enthusiastic on serving us as well as very knowledgeable about all of the food and drinks offered. He was extremely kind and funny and made us not want to leave - a 1 hour dinner quickly turned to 3 from his service as well as the incredible food and drinks! We had an unbelievable time and will definitely be coming back and specifically requesting josh. We were also partially served by Carter who was also incredible, very sweet and funny! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The food is also phenomenal i highly recommend the ham and cheese croquettes) Thann you Barcelona! And thank you Josh and Carter for really making it a special night/experience for us !

If you like Tapas, then give Barcelona a try. Great selection of different dishes to accommodate most tastes. Served quickly so you can easily make multiple orders as you work your way through the options. Cool vibe, friendly staff and reasonable prices. (They offer large plates too!)

Overall, good experience. But very noisy, if you looking to for date night. I do not recommend. I literally had to scream and talk to my husband. We ordered 2 tapas- both were great and drinks. My husband ordered sangria- however it was nothing like sangria and tasted more like rose!
We hosted our rehearsal dinner (of 12 guests) in their semi private dining room and had an absolutely amazing time. We are all still talking about how great a time we had. The Barcelona team took great care of us, were always present and available for us without being imposing. They were quick, friendly, and efficient. We really appreciate all the work they did to take such good care of us. Always have been fans of this restaurant and we always will be! Food of course was delicious is ALWAYS.

We loved every minute of this experience. The only problem was we were at the very end of the bar where the bar drops down 2 ft. We decided to take those chairs because we were able to sit and eat. That was our second attempt and the first time there was no table, this time also. So the end of the bar, I highly recommend not sitting there unless you're just drinking. We were trying to eat and people were literally putting their butts in our face leaning over our food while we're eating trying to order drinks. It was a bad experience for that. Otherwise the food was absolutely epic and the best. The service was incredible. We gave the three bartenders a hundred bucks each for the great service. The only other downfall was the noise. That was our own fault. We came without a reservation and we came late. It was loud and crowded and we were sitting lower than everybody else in the restaurant. But my final say is I will return to this restaurant many times. I would prefer the time it when it was less busy and I will always try to make a reservation from now on. Thank you guys for the great restaurant!
