I can't see how this place gets all the hype . My spaghetti scampi was mediocre at best . It was a small portion and really lacked any real flavor. I was hoping dessert would make up for it. But I was wrong. The cannoli also was mediocre and even the coffee was pretty weak.

Service was great! Food was NOT GOOD. I don't know why they have such good reviews. Food was so slow. I got one of the flatbreads and it was soggy on the bottom. Tasted like something I could have made at home, only it was way overpriced. Would not recommend and I will not be coming back

Went to visit on Good Friday. My grown daughter is in a wheelchair. Round tables with a center pole are not conducive to wheelchairs. We asked for a 4 top rectangular table. The young hostess acted as it was a major inconvenience and said " you can sit there as long as it doesn't interfere with the next table! Should have left then. Most places are very accommodating to us with her! The manager should train his staff to be kind to all kinds of people, not just people who are A-typical. Won't return!

This place is outstanding. Travel always eat Italian all over the USA. With out hesitation this is great. Red “gravy” is the best. Nothing negative to say in this delicious restaurant! Raleigh do not miss out! You will need a reservation. Or sit at the Bar!

Love this place for its Italian food! Raleigh locals always rave about Bella Monica when you ask them about Italian food in the area. It sits in a small strip plaza and I did not have high expectations from it at first. But right from when we entered, the service was great as we were greeted at seated at our choice of table. The dining area is pretty tight but some would call it cozy.We ordered a pizza from their oven and it was delicious. They stood true to the ‘the baked ziti looks good!’ test like everyone says. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was delicious as well and they can make it gluten free as per request.They really take care of their gluten free guests. It is hard to find true Italian restaurants that do gluten free menu so well. They had a separate complimentary GF bread and a whole GF menu. We ordered the Chicken Balsamico, which was amazing! I loved all the dishes we ordered but this one the most!You’ll see the famous green dishes here to let the servers know that the guest is Gluten free or has dietary restrictions. We just thought that was very thoughtful even though none of us had any food allergies.Service was really good and we enjoyed the food. Will definitely visit again!

First time there...a little too rustic for me....the service was good...the shopping center was too crowded.. riding around trying to find a parking space. The crabmeat appetizer was delicious...the chicken Parmigiana was good as well.

Stopped by for a celebration and enjoyed my time here. The food was flavorful. The servers and staff were attentive. I'm looking forward to returning and trying the lasagna (the one that passed by me on it's way to another table looked amazing.)

Order the lasagna! We lived in the area for 14 years and this was our go to place for Italian. Whenever we are close by it is a must stop for us. Their lasagna cannot be matched. Trust me we've tried from coast to coast to find another. It can't be done. We surrender. We will only eat lasagna at Bella Monica forgoing forward ?
