My wife and I have been coming to Benelux since it first opened a long time ago, and have visited regularly through previous owners. I am so pleased with the work that Luis and his team are doing since taking over! The space is now more inviting, the team is friendlier, and the coffee is the best it's ever been. I know they source beans from a local Wake Forest coffee roaster as well.Please support local and visit Luis and his team. If you don't, you are missing out!

Great place to bring your dog inside the dining area, as Benelux does not enforce NC Food Code 6-501.115. Not sure if they really just don't care about hygiene or if they're afraid to tell potential customers "no".

the service was excellent! BEAUTIFULLL atmosphere and aesthetic. i ordered a lavender, rose matcha latte and it was DIVINE! one of the best matcha lattes i’ve ever had! bussin bussin 10/10 will come again ✨?

EDIT 2/2/2024: had to change my review from 4 to 5 stars after visiting today (first time in a few years) and having the most delightful experience! My husband and I assumed they only had their signature waffles for food options, but were pleased to see they now have other things as well, so we each ordered a quiche (1 lorraine and 1 spinach). They were incredibly delicious and plated like we were at a fine dining restaurant. The employee who took our order could not have been more joyful, it was infectious and enhanced our visit. It was busy but there were still plenty of seating options.Review from 2018: Great coffee, friendly & unpretentious baristas, delicious Belgian waffles (a little pricey, but a nice splurge). The space is nice, too, and I love to snag the love seat/couch when they are available. Even if it's busy and crowded, there's ample seating indoors and out.

I was here this morning to work and the music was SO LOUD. I asked the barista to turn it down nicely but he either didn't want to or know how to. It was the worst kind of 2012 folk pop music as well. Not a good place to work or even think with music that loud.

I recently started coming to Benelux since it was taken over by a new management team/owners. The space is open and cozy at the same time. There is plenty of seating and they've created different areas within the space for different type of experiences. Meaning, there are comfy spaces for reading a good book or the paper, social spaces for meeting with groups, and more conventional work seating with electrical outlets. Most importantly, the staff are welcoming and serve up some great coffee. It doesn't hurt that there is a story behind the coffee that makes me happy to support Benelux.
