Good service. Above average barbeque pork sandwich. Excellent collards. However, everything I touched from the table cloth to the condiments to the napkin dispenser was sticky and gross. It could have been a great meal.

I was looking for a BBQ place here in Wake Forest because I just moved here. I came across Big AL's and decided to visit. The place was nice and the young lady who took my order was very kind and made suggestions. Placed my order and it came out on time, but to my unbelief, this guy was on his phone texting and my food was sitting right in front of him!! I guess he didn't care if my food was hot or cold because his text message was more important. What happened to good customer service?? When the customer was the main focus for customer satisfaction? The food was ok but by the time I got home, it was cold.

The service and atmosphere were good. Friendly staff. However, my disappointment was with the food. We ordered Brisket plates with Mac and Cheese and cabbage. The Brisket tasted like it had been cooked and then rinsed off. There was no flavor other than “meat.” I tried 2 of 3 different sauces but they tasted similar to ketchup, bottled BBQ sauce, and I didn’t taste the 3rd one. The Mac and cheese was mushy with no seasoning. The cabbage was like eating raw grated cabbage in warmed chicken stock. The hush puppies were ok.We also had collards (tasted canned), corn nuggets (were not done), and the baked sweet potato was plain with only a slice of butter. This was our first tie trying this place and we had high hopes, but sadly we were disappointed. I do have pictures.

The food was delicious and the manager was really nice and took the time to talk with us and see how everything was. Great job!! Highly
From a bbq lover, it was not very good. Brisket was tough with a gross flavor (even the moist section-had to cover with sweet baby rays (which is saying something) just to palate it)). Sausage was rough to eat. And sadly, the worst Brunswick stew I've ever had. Chips was literally just a bag of Lay's.Only things that were good were the hush puppies and Mac and cheese.Sadly, I would not recommend. Other people may like, but this is just my opinion.

Worst Management in WF. Was excellent when they moved but has gone off a cliff. 0 customer service, 0 quality, better off going to City BBQ and that is one step above garbage.

First time, AAA+, will be back. Everything done right, approved by me, your professional BBQ eater who has traveled the country. Best bang for the dollar, price point. ALSO - thank you for showing your patriotism, not something I expect out of the bougie wanna-be transplant, or worse -- > extreme snowflakes in heritage ;-0. Thank you!Parking: You won't get the 1st 6-8 slots up front but if you're eating BBQ, you may as well walk a little bit further.
Always love going to Big Al's! It's some great pulled barbeque and the hushpuppies are wonderful. The thing we really like is that you have a choice of about 10 sauces to put on your 'cue....everything from eastern style to mustard based. Good stuff!

The food is ok I guess. I think it’s a southern crime to make pork nachos and cover it in fake nacho cheese you buy in a jug. Hush puppies were good though, and their sauces are fun to try. But overall I think my parents could make better food with their eyes closed. We paid 75$ and only ate half cause it just wasn’t good. One of the only upsides is the people were nice.

Always have great food here or their old location. Just got a family pack(pulled pork) last night for dinner and lunch today….amazing WITH very reasonable pricing. Beats the chain bbq places by a mile.
