We were looking forward to visiting Big Ed’s as a staple in our annual trip to Raleigh. It has gone way downhill since our last visit. That warm welcoming feeling was lost along with the friendly service. Disappointing

My wife and I met up with friends and family. Friendly atmosphere. Great hamburger and fries. The service was great. It wasn't packed like it has been in the past. The prices are reasonable. I'll be coming back again. I wish I could remember our waiters name so I could give him a thumbs up.

The large so call pancake was to much like corn bread. What we order I have to go back again to try another dish.

This restaurant is worth the drive to Raleigh. Staff and waitresses are over the top nice and friendly. We had to bring our car to Capital Ford for some work and stopped in on Wednesday and came back today. On Wednesday our waitress was Olivia and today was Que. They are awesome and I recommend you sit in their section.
We will definitely be back. And Steve makes you feel right at home.
I'd give 100 stars if I could.

I have never had a bad experience here. The food is always good. Don't underestimate the hot cakes; they're big and thick and have wonderfully crispy edges. The chicken and pastry is perfect comfort food and is one of my favorites.

Visited Big Ed's for the first time after many positive reviews read. I'll have to agree, with what I've read. Very busy, staff very friendly and attentive with good eats. I ordered the catfish , spiced apples and an egg with orange juice. I very much enjoyed my meal. I was able to carry a portion of it home to eat for later as the catfish was pretty sizable. The ambiance is rustic , puts me in the mind of the other breakfast chain. I would definitely return.

Once a month a dear friend and I enjoy breakfast at Big Ed's. We each have our favorite breakfast meal. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

I recommend Big Ed's for a great breakfast out and a place that is welcoming.
