I have been here multiple times and thought it was the best experience. I recently brought my friend here for her birthday, and was served by Preddy and Maura. Preddy greeted us and made our drinks. I have previously had the drinks we ordered multiple times and they are usually amazing. This time they were not put together well at all. When we let preddy know that our checks were going to be separate at the bar, they rolled their eyes so far back they could see their brain. Maura on the other hand made our experience amazing. She was extremely sweet and didn’t make us feel unwanted at all.

We dropped by on a chilly February night. This cocktail bar had a huge line, and it took at least 30 minutes for us to get in. The drinks were all super interesting - gin and jam is their specialty and unique. We tried their smores sundae dessert which was super super sweet (not for those who don't like sweets). The torced marshmallow donut ring with the ice cream were amazing - but I personally found the brownie too sweet. Service was great! A great cocktail spot - would I go back - probably not because I wasn't blown away by any of the cocktails. But it was still a good time.

Amazing gin cocktails and desserts. Cutting edge club music in an intimate atmosphere. Ask about the gin and jam ;)

Loved the seasonal menu and the crème brûlée was amazing. Can’t wait to come back. Non-alcoholic options available.

Whoever seated us was really rude. She initially took us to a table & we politely asked if we could switch to the bar instead. She complied, and we were talking between ourselves debating which specific seats at the bar to take — she interjected in an exasperated voice, “just sit somewhere!” Then literally threw the menus at us. Felt really put off after that, not sure where the arrogance comes from when their food & drinks are absurdly overrated & overpriced

Bittersweet's specialty in dessert drinks and homemade sweets is novel and fun. The big Oreo was a tasty adventure for my crowd. Its James Beard nomination should make Raleigh proud.

We got 6 takeout desserts for my daughter's birthday. The takeout didn't match what we were seeing in restaurant or online so we were quite disappointed. I asked for spoons and napkins but only got forks. We would have eaten there but no seating was available after 20 minutes. I should have taken pictures of some of the desserts to post and show the difference but we ended up eating them in the car. Tasted good.

Amazing food and drink. Lovely space but very crowded. We had to wait a bit to get in (on a Wed) but it was worth it.

The desserts I really wanted to try were only served on weekends. A bittersweet experience indeed. Not worth planning a return around the weird dessert schedule.Parking: Not worth $10 to park for a drink & dessert

I had a really great experience here with my spouse and our friends. I am constantly on the hunt for the world's best espresso martini and Bittersweet has a lot of excellent coffee based alcoholic drinks. They also have really delicious regular desserts and weekly specials. I am really looking forward to returning and trying out additional drinks and desserts.

I tried to come here on a Saturday night with my girls, and the line was down the block. I came here on a Wednesday when they just opened and we were seared immediately. We had Irish Coffee, creme brulee, and a strawberry cake special. Come early because they don't take reservations.
