We recently moved to the area and had a favorite Indian restaurant back in our previous location. We've tried to find a place that matched and Bombay Curry was our last resort. We were SO excited to find that it was just the same. Quality, service, convenience. All of it. We LOVED it and have already started telling some of our friends.

Amazing local Indian restaurant near the airport. The best garlic naan I have ever had and I have lots of them. They had the chicken balti which few Indian restaurants ever have. Come visit and enough the soothing atmosphere over some authentic Indian tea :)

Came for dinner, stayed for the confusion.

Google says they close at 9PM on Sundays, so we showed up at 8:29PM — a full 31 minutes before closing. You’d think that was enough time for a quick bite. Nope. The staff looked at us like we just asked them to cook a 12-course wedding feast at midnight.

Apparently, the kitchen turns into a pumpkin at 8:30 sharp. We weren’t even asking for a seven-course meal — just some food, maybe a little dignity. But they politely (and by that I mean stone-cold) refused to seat us or serve us anything. I guess we missed the secret “we stop pretending we’re open after 8:28PM” rule.

Moral of the story: If you’re hungry and it’s after 8:25PM, just go home, microwave some leftovers, and whisper softly to your stomach, “Google lied.”

We wanted our boys to try something “different” for dinner and it was an amazing experience. The service of all the gentlemen that serviced our table (they seem to all work together to service tables) were so attentive and patient with our family as we taught our boys about the different dishes. Everything we ordered tasted amazing as well!
There was someone at the table next to us complaining about something very minor and the waiter working with them was so very patient and kind in how they handled the situation and we were so impressed with their response addressing something that others may have walked away and ignored. We will definitely be back again!

We order from them about once a month. This time I ordered the tandoori chicken. It was burnt dry and barely edible. It was served over a huge pile of onions that were barely cut up. There was maybe 3 pieces of pepper. Will never order this dish here again!

overhyped in my opinion. Way better south asian restaurants in the triangle

Really disappointed to write this. Bombay Curry has been my go-to Indian spot in Raleigh — the food is consistently delicious, and I’ve recommended it to friends.

However, during a recent takeout order, I found a metal shard in my food. I nearly swallowed it but thankfully caught it just in time. This is not only shocking, it’s dangerous.

After checking other reviews, I realized I’m not the first person this has happened to. That’s deeply concerning.

Bombay Curry — please take this seriously and fix whatever is causing this before someone gets seriously hurt.

Absolutely delicious and highly recommend!
We tried the meat samosa, samosa chaat, butter chicken, malai kofta, and garlic naan—and every dish was outstanding. The flavors were rich and authentic, with the perfect balance of spices. We ordered everything mild plus, and it delivered just the right hint of heat without overwhelming the palate. The butter chicken was especially creamy and flavorful, and the garlic naan was soft, fragrant, and perfect for soaking up the sauces. A fantastic take out experience.

The service is timely and the food is on par with the best Indian cuisine I have sampled over the years. The location is also convenient for access from the main roads around north Raleigh. There's plenty of parking too.
