Great pastries, but the frustrating thing about it is they don’t stock enough or bake enough on the weekends. They know it’s always crowded but any time I go around 11am-12pm, they are out of most pastries. It can be frustrating when you don’t live in downtown and drive out of the way to go there.
Seems like they lose money from not baking enough. I understand you also can’t bake too much as you lose money that way.
First world problems but I hope they adjust inventory to last longer given their closing time is 4pm. They stock as if it closes at 12pm

Heard about this bakery, and the hype was true. The atmosphere is modern and yet quaint with plenty of space to sit and visit or work. The food was incredible! They grind their own heirloom grains, and achieve as close to a European croissant as I have ever tasted in the US (look at the layers in that cinnamon bun)! Coming back to this one!

Does Boulted Bread care about its customers? The line is around the block and there are 30 people waiting in 28 degree weather outside. I was in line for almost an hour. What’s worse, I get inside and the employees and baristas are moving at a snail’s pace with no regard for the freezing customer’s outside. Hustle a little! Sure the food is good but does that make up for bad customer service, dangerous parking, and barely any seating? I like this place but get it together.

After spending the morning hiking in Umstead State Park, we made a stop at this bakery because I had read a recommendation on a Facebook page (This is Raleigh).
It was a cute little spot where we enjoyed a chocolate croissant and a ham and cheese croissant with two hot teas. We love to visit the local shops and stay away from a chain so this was a treat again with delicious food.

The baked goods are amazing and they usually offer savory options as well. I never leave without a fresh loaf of warm bread and their coffee is some of the best I have had in the Triangle. Service is always top tier.

I’m so excited for Raleigh to have more spaces like this that make amazing fresh bakery items with some of the best coffee in the area. The citrus chocolate latte is a must try!
Their morning bun is terrific with the just the right amount of cinnamon, sugar and gooeyness. The chocolate chip cookies looked popular but I didn’t care for it too much.
If only they had more seating!

Why is the bread always burned? We’ve given this location a try multiple times, and the bread is always bizarrely overbaked.
I don’t recall this problem at the original location.

Large variety and delicious baked goods! The line was out the door when we went. Wish there were gluten free options to choose from and more seating, but over all, highly recommend!

IT'S REAL
The best croissants....fresh, buttery and flaky.
I don't usually leave Google reviews, but I have been frequenting Boulted Bread for a few months now, and I can safely say it's my favorite bakery in the triangle! All of the bread, pastries, and drinks that I have tried have been truly phenomenal. My go-tos thus far have been the seeded levain, the ham and cheese croissant, and the morning bun. I highly recommend! The customer service is always fantastic as well. The young lady with curly hair and silver rings (Lizzie, I think her name is) always helps me find what I need and leaves a smile on my face. She isn't a bad looker, either - don't tell my wife I said that! I'm only taking away one star because it has been SO HOT in there recently. I worry for the ladies and gents working there. Cheers!
