This bakery has such a wide assortment of treats, there is no way you can go wrong. I find myself holding back because I was ready to get one of everything. Quick friendly service that was more than patient with me as I filled a box with goodies.

Writing this review only for the paczki which I came here to try for the first time since I wasn’t sure where else they may be available. I come from a heavily populated Polish area in the Northeast so these are a yearly tradition for us and these donuts did not disappoint. I am used to a slightly taller/puffier paczki but these still beat your average donut :) I am removing one star because I do feel these are quite expensive compared to what I am used to at $17 and change for half a dozen donuts. The most I’ve ever paid is 1.50-1.75/donut in some of the best bakeries in the northeast but I am happy to have a reliable option here.

Loved this place! Went for the first time with my boyfriend and it was like at 7pm (they close at 8pm) and we were worried they probably weren’t going to have much out, but they did! I’m so happy we went and tried some place new because this place didn’t disappoint! My boyfriend said his coconut wava cupcake was the best cupcake he’s had!!

Yes, there are sweets. They are very tasty. But, the “& more” in the title is what intrigues me. A hard pie with spinach and feta. Croissants of many varieties is the ultimate in pastry nirvana. HARD PIES!!! I didn’t know I needed them until now. I must tell Bobby Liebling. He will love them.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free items

The most delicious Paczki I’ve ever had! Very friendly service. I don’t mind driving 45 minutes to get here. What a find!

I love donuts and pastries as much as the next guy but Barney’s takes it to another level. They not only have donuts but the star of the show is the various croissants. They have more flavors of croissants than I have cousins….and I have a lot of cousins. I’d need 6 dozen just to feed them all. Beyond the donuts and croissants they have every shape of dough covered or filled with every type of fruit or confectionery you can think of. We’re going to have to come back every weekend for a month just to get through everything and we haven’t even talked about all the cakes, pies or the ice cream. For,sure a must stop shop

Warning. If you're on any kind of weight loss journey, plan etc. Please don't visit this establishment. The filled croissants are from heaven. This place is the best sweet shop in Raleigh and extremely addictive!

Bought some cookies, they were good. Was not happy with the paying experience. I bought 6 cookies & 1 chocolate decoration for 20 dollars. Went to pay and was given a screen on how much to tip with the minimum amount being 15%. I simply asked for 6 cookies, I don't see why I am being presented with a big screen asking how much I am going to tip.Since the worker was staring at me I felt too awkward to put "no tip" so entered a custom amount of $2. I don't think there should be so much pressure to tip to pick up a small order of treats. Not going back.

Don't bother to place special orders for holidays. Made special trip in 3 days ago as they required to place order for muffins. Went today to pick up and they did not have enough of certain kind to fill the order so just threw in some non appetizing ones. Just wondering what was the point of ordering ahead if they can't figure out how to fill the orders?

This is a little on me for not looking at the date on the container but the cake I bought was already three weeks old! It was stale and dense and not worth the 40 dollars I paid for it in the slightest. I am surprised they will sell a three week old cakes for full price. So I guess just be aware of how old what you are buying is.Edit: Actually I am reading cakes should be stored up to 5 days. So the fact they sold me a three week old cake shouldn't happen so I am updating to one star.

Burney's is a hidden gem. Hidden because the shopping center where they are located is a ghost town since Stein Mart closed. Located at Falls of Nuese and Old Wake Forest they are worth the effort to find. While we haven't tried everything they offer, what we have, has been outstanding. The glazed croissants are great plain but are even better when stuffed with one of their homemade fillings. And the eclairs, absolutely awesome. The best ever. Forget all the other pastry places, go to Burney's for the best experience of your life.

The pecan pie was good. If you're familiar with Costco's pecan pie, it wasn't overly sweet like that with candied pecans. However, it was expensive for a mini pie. I could've nearly gotten a pumpkin pie at Costco for the price. I would've preferred they had pie by the slice. An entire one is a better value, but too much for me or any friends I dine with. The service was ok. The more gregarious sociable employee didn't know how to ring me up (seems no one buys the minis). The shy one did, but avoided eye contact. When I complimented their Zelda Breath of the Wild shirt and asked if they'd played the new game, they perked up. It's in a dreary old strip mall. As you can probably tell from the picture taken in a car, there's nowhere to sit. With just a few customers, there wasn't space to take pictures.I was in the area for lunch, but wouldn't likely make the drive back from Apex unless I needed a whole pie.
