Captain Stanley's Seafood

This is an updated review from my last on 5 years ago. Much better experience. Food was hot fresh and flavorful. Hush puppies and sweet tea were really good.

NEVER AGAIN!!😡😠.My First Time There.
The time was 1:54pm.They close at 2pm. I was not aware of. I was in the parking lot. Places my order. I ordered a FRIED Flounder sandwich. After paying. I got home, it was Grilled or bake. The next day i called back 3 times, an got the run around. Was told I should of looked at my food. Really!! I never knew a seafood restaurant who sell bake or grill food. I will never be returning there again or my friends. CAROLINA FISH FRY TASTE BETTER ANYWAY!!
GO EAT THERE PEOPLE!!

I been trying to call but Noone picked upn.So I rated my visit up here...First of all the lady at the window is devilish and I can believe it's people like her on earth. Me an to other people was waiting in line in the hot heat .Then they open the door . Then I was talking about the air was feeling good that was blowing over my head since I was speaking to a customer .She skipped me and took the man order that was behind me and claimed she was trying to get my attention...No she wasn't it's to small in that takeout for me not to hear her smh she lied..Then I ask for a senior citizen plate then she replied a so call senior plate that was rude and then I placed my order everyone in front and and back of me got there food But me .They normally bring the food out the back .But when I ask them why everyone got their plate but .me She made it her business to go get my plate my shrimp was part raw and my oysters ...But to take the cake got home my bake potato was completely uncooked 💯 % RAW I don't recommend togo orders there. Because that lady don't like the job she chosen. Sad world we are living in..Next time I will go to Harris teeter and cook .I refuse to waste my hard earned money in that manor PERIOD..IT WASNT NO DRIVING BACK FROM GARNER .

Seafood lacked seasoning even after I asked for my Alaskan whitefish to be salt & pepper seasoned. I was told they don't salt so I asked that it be peppered. That didn't happen. Everyone of a group of 7 complained of the seafood just being bland. Slaw was too dill and not enough mayo. The tartar sauce was not tasty. We're seafood people so perhaps our standards were just to high. We did expect basic flavor & seasoning.

We moved to Raleigh NC a year ago & we found it difficult to find a good seafood restaurant. Choices of seafood was excellent as well as the food. They start by bringing you a big basket of delicious hushpuppies out. Prices were very reasonable & the customer service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
