I have been coming here for years, and I always marvel at just how sincerely friendly, upbeat, and efficient an operation this is...as with any business, there is constant turnover, but for the last few years I have been consistently impressed with Jess, Elley, Niki, and Kat--they always remember what I like and always treat me with such kindness, warmth, and courtesy. Best place in Raleigh to read, work, and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee.

There are many options and they can taste very good, the problem is their inconsistency. I'll order a matcha one day that is fantastic, the next it's like I ordered a cup of milk. This location can't get their teas right.

Coffee arrived quickly, about 3 minutes. Good for a specialty mocha. Tasted good. "Extra hot" but served regular hot. Store was typical cleanliness. Staff were staying busy, no goofing off or loud music playing (like at Starbucks). So was a very good visit.

Went there for the first time ever with a good friend of mine. We got the shaken expressos because it just looked great on the menu.. when we ordered it, we weren’t expecting it to taste bitter and flavorless. We just didnt like them so I took our drinks up to the counter and asked could we swap it for vanilla lattes. The girl kind of gave me a hard time about it saying she would have to charge me for two lattes, mind you..the lattes are a dollar less than the shaken espressos.. She ended up only charging us for one latte so we still ended up paying more. She also made sure we were going to throw away the shaken espressos.. Which gave me the impression she thought we were after free drinks and that was not the case. In the end the vanilla lattes tasted like syrup and we did not finish our drinks. I will not be coming back here or atleast at this location. Dont remember the girls name but who ever you are just so you know yalls coffee does not taste like liquid gold, its on par with dunkin at best.
Ordered 3 bagels with extra cream cheese , bagels were stale no extra cream cheese and on top of that what kind of bagel shop doesn’t put the cream cheese on a bagel?

UPDATE 2025: since the Bruegger’s bagels was eliminated from this café, the food options, are truly atrocious. Everything premade out of plastic baggies. Nothing personalized, very little with any real taste. Don’t really understand why you would come to this location any longer.
UPDATE 2022: I have just come to the Bruegger's Bagels in Raleigh, on Duraraleigh Road, for the 4th time in 4 months, when they had NO BAGELs READY at the time the cafe opened at 6am. Today, the bagels where not ready until 645am, and THEN THEY WERE ALL OVERCOOKED. Every single variety was way overcooked, you could see that from the counter. How are you letting this cafe stay open? I've tried my hardest with this location, but I give up. If you can't have your signature food ready on time, fire the baker and the manager. It's been at least 8+ months of this. I won't be back, the Panera cafe just right down the road is ready all the time.
Summer 2017:
For months now, there have been real problems at this cafe. I've not been to this cafe 5 times in three weeks. ALL FIVE TIMES, at 630am, thirty minutes after they open, and they have had NO BAGELS READY TO SELL TO CUSTOMERS? Who is managing this cafe, and why can't they have the bagels ready for customers when they open?? I've had enough, not going back.

Not sure why people here give you an attitude when you don't tip. They don't make waiters wage. Constantly out of things and no dairy free options for their frozen beverages.

First off, the coffee was great, so that starts the whole experience off right. Oh how I love the crafty fall drinks available! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and there's plenty of space to visit and enjoy time with friends.

Asked for fresh, hot coffees and got cold coffee with an attitude. Smh!!! If I wanted cold coffee, then I would've ordered cold coffee. Please listen to your consumers when stopping by because you never know who you could serving.

Ordered an XL coffee and an egg sandwich on a bagel. Coffee tastes like they made a new pot and immediately started filling this-super strong and burnt tasting. Which probably means the other cups will taste diluted. Bagel was bland and felt like eating a sponge. This place used to have more enjoyable coffee and food
