I went to Carroll's Kitchen because I knew they support women bouncing back from crisis. I ordered the Everything Bacon Kolache. It was cream cheese, bacon, and onions in a yeast roll. It was $4 of delicious that washed down with the strawberry lemonade. I will definitely recommend Carroll's Kitchen to anyone for the cause and flavor.

When I am sick I want a grilled cheese and tomato soup. That was my order my first time at CL’s. Head cold and fever on rainy summer day. Ugh. It was a delivery order using a third party delivery service and the order got off to an inauspicious start. Drivers kept bailing and my order showed up more than 30 minutes late and the driver had grabbed (and dropped off) the wrong order. The email says call CK’s if there’s any problems with the order. So I called. Yep my order was still there. The person who took the call said it was slow and that she would drive the order over herself. Less than ten minutes later I had my food. I gave the grilled cheese a quick reheat in a hot cast iron skillet and the soup got 30 seconds in the microwave. The grilled cheese was everything I wanted it to be cheesy buttery goodness. And the tomato soup, wow! Maybe the best I’ve ever had. Rich, salty, tangy with balsamic, herby with prominent basil. Mmmm. Oddly it is not creamy, I’m guessing it’s dairy free, but it didn’t miss the cream. It’s plenty rich without it. Great food and honestly above and beyond the call service, it’s not their fault the delivery service screwed up but CK’s fix the mistake. And now I’m going to take a nap. :)

The kolaches are amazing! I’ve tried most of the flavors and the Spinach & Artichoke one is my favorite savory one while the seasonal Peach & Cream one is my favorite sweet one. I don’t know how they make the bread part but they’re so soft and springy.
I always feel good buying from Carroll’s because I appreciate their cause of helping women. Lovely food, lovely people!

I used Carroll's Kitchen to cater the sides at my wedding reception and Lauren was a pure joy to work with! She was communicative and asked great questions to make sure we were both on the same page. They delivered right on time and the potato salad and baked beans were delicious! Cannot recommend their catering services enough!

Fabulous breakfast just around the corner from where I'm staying in Raleigh for the week. What a great story Carroll's has - helping so many women to make better lives through gainful employment and support. I look forward to returning there!
Dietary restrictions: There's lots of cow's milk on the menu, but I worked around it. You can ask to leave cheese off of your sandwich,, too.

This is the best lunch spot in Downtown Raleigh. Delicious food and sandwiches (get the Turkey Avocado or the Turkey Brie!!!). It's grab and go, great prices, genuinely the nicest employees ever.
I have used Carroll's Kitchen for two catering orders for NC State, and both times they have been so wonderful to work with. They have gone above and beyond to meet my group's needs, this time even pivoting and bringing on more staff to accommodate our event's date change due to last week's snow storm. Lauren, the manager, is so responsive and helpful. The store employees are kind and hard-working, and the food is delicious. They were also able to accommodate dietary restrictions easily and labeled ingredients on everything. I highly recommend Carroll's Kitchen for group catering (but also for a delicious lunch downtown)!

I booked online for a large party of 10+. I also called twice to speak to the rep to inform them we were celebrating my husbands birthday and I would like to host to let the waiter/ waitress know prior to our arrival and to bring out a treat for him and sing. She advised me it was taken care of.
We arrive on Sunday and although the waiter was amazing! Very accommodating and worked a table of 10+ with kids included very very well! He had no idea it was my husband birthday 😣😣. Bummer! Once I informed him, he offered a sorbet on the house but did absolutely nothing special for my husband at the end. Spending that type of money on food and not being prioritize on a significant day was sad because I could’ve chose a restaurant that offered better accommodation for birthdays specifically! The communication was not executed properly and it ruined my experience.
The food was decent. The waiter was amazing! He recommended great options but the food was good but not how it was described. The crab soup is lackluster. It’s missing some things and too thick. The rockfish was a hit. The oysters and the pasta was decent. The bread was okay. We didn’t try any beverages.
I think the place was a good crowd and the waiter handled the table very very well.
