Best bbq sandwich I’ve had in the triangle
Other reviews convinced me to make the trek from my hotel and it did not disappoint! Totally agree with other the pulled pork is a must, fabulous hush puppies too. Of course I had to try the deviled eggs and banana puddin’ 😋
If you’re in the Raleigh area please stop by it’s way better than any chain place. ❤️
Fantastic BBQ! We got the Hog and Pig packs to feed 11 people. Excellent value and everyone loved it. The potato salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, coleslaw and hush puppies were as great as the pulled pork. Excellent service from Jessica as well. It doesn’t look like much on the outside, but the food was spectacular!
Today is July 4th. After ordering and paying online for food at Byrd’s BBQ on Cheek Rd, and driving 30 minutes to get there, I was not happy when I arrived to discover they were closed. Another lady was there and said she had called yesterday and they said they would be open the 4th. She was very upset, too, especially after having driven 45 minutes to get there. So I searched for another BBQ restaurant and found Chop Shop BBQ was open and I am so glad I did! The pulled pork and smoked chicken was delicious as were the cowboy beans, potato salad, slaw and hush puppies. Don’t let the outside of the building keep you from eating some delicious food. I highly recommend this place and encourage you to give it a try.
Impromptu weeknight dinner on our wedding anniversary.

Very good spot. Hidden in a gas station, but don't let that fool you. You have to try the hushpuppies.
Kid-friendliness: It's probably ok for kids as long as you can keep them from running around the gas station.
Wheelchair accessibility: I'm sure they'll try, but it's a small location.

Very good service! Pulled pork, mac and cheese, bbq sauces, and hushpuppies were good. Cole slaw was not good, though.

On my way to take back a company rental I stopped here to get food. The lady was super nice. Talked a lot and was really personable. She also recommended me food. The price was great and it was the best BBQ Sammie I have had. And I'm from Lexington. If I'm in Raleigh again I'll go back.

I ordered two of the hog-packs for a family gathering. It is the best tasting pulled pork that I have had in many years! It was so moist and flavorful that I didn't need or use any sauce on mine...lol. It will be my first stop on my next trip back to Raleigh! ❤️
