Hadn't been here in a while because I always forget about it. Wish I had forgotten about it and went elsewhere.
I ordered the General Tso’s chicken and it was overly sweet with no real flavor balance. I did ask for low spicy, but this tasted sugary/sweet and the chicken quality didn’t seem great. It also didn’t sit well with my stomach afterward and I only ate half of it.
My girlfriend got the shrimp lo mein and wasn’t a fan either — it upset her stomach and even gave her a headache.
It’s a shame because this place is so close to home, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning. We both threw away the rest of our food. For the price, the quality just isn’t there.

We tried CHUAN Cafe for the first time tonight & it was delicious!
We walked in and ordered our food to go. We waited about 10 minutes for our food.
It was piping hot, fresh and so so good!
We spent about $60 for two people.
We ordered the:
Pork Dumplings in chili oil 7/10 very small portion
Fried Green Beans 10/10
Fried flounder 20/10- Crispy, Spicy & unforgettable!
Mongolian Beef 8/10 not a lot of meat but flavor was spot on!
We’ll definitely go back.
We noticed they have a lunch special for about $10-$11.
The menu has something for everyone.
It is a hole in the wall but the inside was very neat and clean.
A little sketch at night, we noticed there were A LOT of to go orders.

Wonderfully authentic cuisine for decent prices! The hosts are very considerate as well and attentive to guests dining in despite the multitude of take-out orders they are constantly receiving. Would 100% recommend to folks tired of typical, Americanized Chinese cuisine looking for a bit of real flavor.

The lady at the desk was rude and sarcastic.. She was talking to me and someone on her cell at the same time. She got smart with me, and I stared at her, my grand daughter wanted noodles and after a long trip. I didn't want to go to Garner for noodles..

As an Asian and a big foodie, I can vouch that this is BEST SZECHUAN in the Triangle!!! Def more a hole in the wall vibe and admittedly not located in the best part of Raleigh but regardless, we like to go in to eat there so the food is as fresh as possible. The staff is very nice.
Our favorite go to dishes:
- Spicy Chongqing Chicken (it’s not actually that spicy)
- Dan Dan Noodles
- Bamboo Flounder Fish
- Twice Cooked Pork Belly
- Dry Fried String Beans
- Spicy Hot Pot
It’s delicious. You won’t be disappointed!

We’ve dined in, as well as done takeout before. Both a phenomenal but you really get the best experience dining in. Highly recommend the bamboo founder, dry fried string beans, braised beef in chili oil and chili wontons.

Food is good. Great singapore noodles finally! They are authentic too. Dry fried broccoli is also tasty. They are flexible if you want to substitute your protein for tofu as well. More expensive than your typical Chinese, but the quality is also better.
