Honestly the best place for sushi in all of NC. The fresh wasabi they put on the toro Nigri... with the lemon on the side... *Chef's kiss* . Everything else we had was delicious, the eel was amazing, the fried silken tofu was amazing... Just go eat here

This restaurant sets the bar high for places that make absolutely delicious sushi! Everything and I do mean EVERYTHING was delicious! If you’re looking for a variety of sushi options without spending a lot of money I highly recommend going during lunch! Try one of the bento options and you will not be disappointed. I wanted multiple dishes and this gave me the option to sample all of what I wanted to try! Exceptional service and delicious food.

Took myself on a last minute solo date and was not disappointed! I waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated where Aaron greeted me to make sure I had everything I needed. He gave me recommendations for sake and sushi which really hit the spot! Overall, he was a great waiter: Efficient, helpful, courteous, etc.
Now for the food and drink:
The suigei drunken whale hit the spot if you like sake and for a glass the portion was very generous.
The true star of the show was the spicy tuna dynamite roll. Perfect blend of spicy, crunchy, and flavorful. Highly recommend!
All in all, 100% recommend this spot for date night, getting together with friends, or even just solo time to treat yourself!

Hidden sushi gem in Raleigh! Excellent quality sushi. Beautiful atmosphere with low lighting and soft music. The waiter was attentive and courteous, but the host subtly pressured us to finish eating before their evening rush.

First time visit. Meat location on the cobbles of Raleigh. Simple atmosphere. I was there with a friend who is a susi fanatic so they did the ordering... I will say what was ordered was top notch. We also got the dumplings and they are very yummy too. I only tried the warm saki though they had a fair selection . Very enjoyable. I can see from my friends we will be going again. I'm in for that!

Everything is very well done! It's clear they really care about the food. I'm pretty discerning when it comes to sushi but this is absolutely top tier, the desserts and small plates were just as good. The green tea creme brulee was the hightlight for sure!

Food was absolute 5 stars—fresh sushi and an interior that feels more like a chic big-city spot than Raleigh. My cocktail was closer to 3 stars. Service felt rushed—staff started packing up 20 minutes before closing, which made us feel pushed out.
I was so impressed with their sushi. It had experimental rolls that worked so well. I had the dynamite roll. It was a little spicy but nothing too spicy. Also try the dumplings so good.

We live downtown, so we’ve tried a lot of sushi spots—but City Market Sushi is hands-down the best. We’ve been coming every week for over a year, and it’s consistently perfect. The food is always fresh, always correct, and always top quality. On top of that, every team member is incredibly kind and welcoming.
