I liked the atmosphere; the music was at a good volume where you could have a conversation, and the selection was varied. The place is small, so there aren’t many seating options. I only ordered a beer.
March 2, 2025 was our first visit to Cortez, happens to be the LAST dinner service before they close for a few weeks to renovate the property! So glad we did! Mexican influenced food, taking advantage of local high quality NC ingredients and a few from elsewhere, super fresh. At the end of the dinner, the waiter comes and tells us that three people who we don't know paid for our dinner. I guess this is a one off, but it made our night.
