I had a vegetable plate with a seven layer salad. ALL of the veggies were straight out of a can and the salad was so soggy. Not a horrible experience but I won't be back anytime soon. Staff were nice.

I forgot to take a picture before I devoured my food. I got the fried chicken it was hot fresh moist and delicious it was delicious ,as was the hot fresh fried okra. The rice and gravy were fantastic. Since it was Mother's day the atmosphere was awesome and energetic.The waitress was sweet and friendly and she made sure we had everything we wanted and needed. I will be goin back soon. I won't forget the pictures next time.

Love this place!! Food always good. But today I was highly disappointed that they have stopped Doing curbside take out!!! Please bring back curbside orders! This service not only was great because of pandemic, but also for handicapped patrons who are limited and can’t walk far distances!!

This has been my favorite place for decades! Now they won’t do curbside pick-up or even all call in orders; you have to walk in and order in person. I have stage 4 metastatic cancer on chemo and can’t do that with things still dangerous, and my condition. I asked to pay extra, and they won’t do it. The website still says “drive up service.” Mr. Smith…ugh there are many elderly and immunocompromised people who love your food!

This was our 2nd visit to D&S and we really love their food. Last time, I got the pork chops and decided to try the fried chicken today. Their vegetables are very good and so is their cornbread. While it is a little far from us, they came highly recommended by a family friend. The recommendation we requested was a black restaurant with good meat and vegetables in neighboring cities outside of Durham to patronize during #BlackHistoryMonth. It was so good, we went two weeks in a row.

My Mom asked where is there a good place to get a good home cooked meal with lots of veggies. I knew exactly where to go. She filled her tray up plus mine! She wasn't much for conversation at the table. All I heard was "mmmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmm" This place takes us back to the good old days when her parents (my grandparents) were alive. We agreed they would have enjoyed this place. She couldn't finish her plates but she grinned at me and said "that's what to go boxes are for". The food was great, the staff was amazing and you can tell this place is well taken care of! Thank you for the great meal and the trip down memory lane!

If or shall I say when you Goggle a great place to eat and the D&S Cafeteria comes up, GO!This was my first time, I went shopping after my appointment and after the third store I was hungry.I didn't realize the last store was in front of D&S Cafeteria, BINGO!Full service in door dining and take out.I had pork chops (you get two) mac & cheese, cabbage and sweet potatoes 4 ???.I will be returning. Go!

The food at D&S cafeteria is always first. Class. Never had an issue. The staff are nice and very helpful. You always feel right at home here. If you're in the Cary area, stop in, you will not be disappointed.

Very disappointing visit today. Not only are the prices higher, the quality is lower. Stale bread & gross hardened cheesecake. Not to mention the encounter with the "owner" who made the mistake of speaking to us in a rude, discriminatory manner and attempted to lecture us then say "I own this establishment". Glad you do but if you continue to treat customers so rudely while serving poor quality food good luck! So many other better places to take our business. Bye!
I went to the D&S last year. I thought I would try it again on 12/11/21. Very disappointed with the food. First of all the food was not hot the rice was overcook. The rolls were so heavy like the bread didn't have any yeast in them. The broccoli and cheese was horrible. I will not be going back to this restaurant.Also the price for this food is expensive!!!

Our book club met here for lunch and a book discussion. The food was fresh, well prepared and the portions were perfect. The fried catfish..,just yummy!! My side's were broccoli salad, Cole slaw and fried okra. All delicious. The price $11.76...

The food is always hot and fresh. The interior is clean and is very nice. I have never had a bad experience here and would recommend them to everyone. If you are anywhere near here it is some if the best home cooking you can get while eating out.
