A couple of weeks ago, my friends and I visited El Tapatio on New Bern Ave, and let me tell you—this place knows how to serve up a fiesta on a plate! From the moment we walked in, the warm and colorful atmosphere set the tone for a great evening.\n\nThe service? Friendly and attentive. Our server made sure our chips and salsa were always full (a must, in my opinion!) and was quick with recommendations. Speaking of food—wow! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned....

Our absolute favorite Mexican restaurant! We haven't eaten a dish we didn't like and they have the best tableside made guacamole. The service is great, even when busy! Worth the drive from Clayton and skipping the multiple other Mexican restaurants we pass on the way.

Our server was very very friendly and took care of the table in a great way.
The food was a 2.5 out of 5 it lacked flavor. The portion was very small- I had a Beef Quesadilla it came with a little bit of rice and a little lettuce.
The booth was clean(ish) I sat on the wall side and it could have been cleaner for sure.
It's not that I'd never go again, but if I have a choice I probably would look for a different lunch...
