If you're looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food in Raleigh, look no further than El Toro Loco Taqueria!
My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch and ordered the nachos with chorizo, pulled pork sope, chorizo tacos, and the enchiladas Verde.
Everything was absolutely fantastic! Our server Mariela was very kind and attentive through our entire meal!
If you like Mexican food and want to genuinely feel like you're sharing a meal with family, El Toro Loco is the place to be 😁

My boyfriend & I met my Co-Worker on Tuesday September 9th. It was our first time going there! The place was clean and the vibe seemed to be really good but I was wrong! We were not greeted upon arrival, we sat at the BAR for several minutes and then I realized I should just get in line because the employees completely ignored us. I asked an employee if I was able to order a beer he then told me to “Get in line”

Why have a OPEN BAR if I can’t sit down and enjoy it? We were confused …

The tacos were pretty good. Customer service is really terrible here.

Good location but parking may be sparse. The tacos for Tuesday tacos are almost miniature but pack a lot of flavor.

Underwhelming. Atmosphere is odd - mix between bar or fast food. Tacos and Gordita were absolutely tasteless. Served on foil lined tray. Gordita needed to be cut since it would fall apart if you ate it like a sandwich. Since it was on foil I had to be careful not to get a mouthful of foil with it. Beer was $5.50 but a michelada was $16.50?!? More than their margarita? Never have I ever seen that that before. It’s a beer and Bloody Mary mix. Now I get why they do $1.50 tacos on Tuesday. Even then maybe if you’re desperate.

My husband and I are from Chicago visiting and from the start walking by this place caught our eye, the smell from all the way outside lured us in! When we walked in we got greeted by Mariela, she was really sweet and welcoming. We ordered drinks, I had the Paloma and my husband had the tequila sunrise, drinks were definitely hitting the spot, I ordered the burrito and the carne asada fries, my husband had the tacos de Al pastor, and all food items were sooo tasty! Super super good, the burrito was packed with flavor and the melted cheese was so stringy, we loved the cheese pull. My husbands taco were so good, the Al pastor was not greasy and super tender, and the asada fries hit the spot. The cheese used on them literally had me in love, I am not a crazy cheese person but this cheese had me going crazy. They were super attentive and made sure everything was good for us. Super super good, definitely recommend!!!

Easily the BEST and most authentic tacos available downtown! Don’t sleep on the Tinga Mulitas!!! They are my favorite menu item - almost like a personal sized quesadilla but like a million times better! 🤤🤤 A small business you should be running to support!!

So I saw this spot on TIKTOK. I was excited to try their food.

The place is very clean. They have a 95 sanitation grade.

The server was very welcoming and friendly.

The restaurant has very upbeat and modern decor.

My food came out quickly.

The only downside to our dining experience was the food.

We ordered tacos. My sister didn’t eat her tacos. She said they weren’t good at all.

When I ate my tacos, they were dry and tasteless. I didn’t like the taste of the tortilla either. Something is missing.

And the sides we ordered were bland. They could have used more seasoning.

Maybe we came at a bad time. But I was so disappointed in the food. It definitely wasn’t a reflection of the TIKTOK advertisement.

I’ll come back, but next time I’ll try something different. No more tacos.

The carne asade burrito was great. The meat was well seasoned and the ingredients tasted fresh . On Tuesday they have 1.50 tacos which is very cheap and i tried the carne asada and the pollo and they were both very good. I did not like the barbacoa as much. Their spicy sauce is pretty good also. The workers were very nice so good service

The tacos and cocktails just didn't do it for me. The food was dry and bland and the Margarita just wasn't my taste. Service was fantastic.

Great place for tacos, burritos and other Mexican food! For a quick lunch, takeout etc. Mix of Mexican and Tex-mex styles.

Note: I would avoid Taco Tuesday unless you see it's not crowded. The cheap taco deals draw a large crowd, which results in long wait times. It's not a deal, because the cheap tacos are also much smaller than the normal ones. Make sure to order ~2x as many as you normally would.

Great food amazing customer service. I advise people to look at the menu before arriving and place your order before sitting down at the register. Super fresh can't wait to go back next weekend

What a waste of time and money. There was no seasonal menu, and I spent most of my visit swatting at flies and gnats. I came here based on a Raleigh Food Trap recommendation, but I left disappointed. I’ll be sticking with La Buena Vida from now on — I don’t mind paying a little more when I know the food and experience will be worth it
